BEIRUT Family Class Applications sent to Mississauga then BEIRUT 2012

It is weired, but God knows how long it takes for a security check!! I hope not too long.

I want to ask you if you don't mind, when did CIC initially receive your application??

We sent the application to CIC Novomber 26 2010, it was recieved in Damascus january 10 2011.

According to a previous post in one of the topics, the same thing happen to 2 individuals and they got PPR shortly after

I started to loose my hope
I dont know why they are keeping our file for this long time specially that I saw 2 weeks ago on our ecase that a decision has been made.
The strangest thing is our statut returned to in process but when I click on it, it says that a decsion has been made and they are going to contact us.

hello lele, unfortunatly we didnt receive any thing from the embassy so far. i thin starts from next week we should get a call from them at least for those who submitted their documents in september.

loook with respect to me my medical was expired so i re did it on sept26th and then the embassy sent me email on 1st of octobor, i recommend that u redo ur medical once its expired and dont wait for the embassy to email u to redo it.

look I did the medical 3 times, i did it twice after they asked me to do it on 15-07-2011 and on 20-10-2012 .
in your case you have two choice:
- wait until they ask him to do it Because he is from iraq so his file should be in amman not beirut, and when they send him an email to do the medical you will know for sure where is his file.
- but if you want to save time he can do it in the last week of november not now maybe he will get his visa before the expiry date of the medical.( but do not forget to give them the immigration file number)

I submitted a sponsorship application for my wife, not long ago. Can I still submit a visiting visa application? Did anyone try this, because I got contradicting answers from people i know, some say they will refuse it, others say they did so and it worked.

welcome to our forum, firstly I liked your nickname
about the visit visa I do not know if you know you have to persuade the officer that your wife will come back to lebanon and she will not stay with her husbad " you" in canada heheheh it is so easy to do that right ........ I think student visa if she want to study there much easier to get

also my friend your wife application as you said new not old like many here in this forum her file did not go to damascus then beirut and they did not lost paper from it like me and others here, so be patient your wife enshallah will not wait like me and many here

Thank for the reply, If I understand correctly, this means its not easy to get a visiting visa for my spouse. If I apply anyway how long does it take for the embassy to process the visiting visa?
And yes I know how it feels, when processing takes time, it took me 2 years to get the PR, although I was living in Canada, and my application was complete, but anyway I think its worth the wait. I hope my spouse won't have to go through this as well.
