Hello people

Anyone got any news on their applications. March 2013 applicants? It does not look much is happening here.

I'm a Jan 2013 applicant.
My file hasn't moved much yet, but I'm expecting this is due to the delays I had in applying for a CSQ.
I got stage 1 approval on Feb 7 and my CSQ got issued on July 19...
They probably put my file in queue waiting for the CSQ.

It's a bit early for March applicants though.
Based on CPP timelines, average turnaround time is approx 6 month for a complete flawless application, and in this case, you usually do not hear from the VO until they send you the PPR...

I would stay put and not worry until September at least.

CSQ = Certificat de selection du Quebec.
You need to request it after you get Sponsor Approval (Stage 1) IF your destination province is Quebec.
CIC will usually request it in the Sponsorship Approval letter.

This thread seems to never have an update; makes me nervous. I want to bring it up to the top again.
I am just wondering if anyone got Passport Request. For us what happens when we get Passport Request? Does it change on ECas or do we get an email.

I remember sending copies of passport for my spouse when I submitted the application. Since my spouse is in Beirut, do they ask in Ottawa to send passport or does it happen in Beirut?

Do they request the actual passport or just copies? I am really looking forward to this PPR. Can't wait ... waiting just kills.

from what i have read in the past, the PPR gets requested from Beirut. Ottawa eventually sends the package to Beirut to do the final process. im in the process of requesting a tourism visa for my wifey. its worth a try considering they are sometimes accepting pakistani people to come for a visit. its a 50/50.

I'm thinking the same to send my husband an invite to apply for visitor visa for a month considering that he has a job there and will not be able to take more than 3 weeks to a month vacation. I'm just going to wait until the end of September hoping inshallah I will hear something before. I think it is worth a try. Nothing to lose, what about you try and let me know what happens. Is your wife in Lebanon? Applications are moving in cpp ottawa but it seems to be only for applicants from the US...

yes, shes currently in lebanon. i will ask for an extension if she gets approved for the tourism visa. Then she will only go there if they request an interview, if not then we will mail her passport and they can stamp it with the permanent. at that point i think we would just drive to the states and come back and she will become a permenant resident. its all a dream right now
