well I have some good news. my wife got an email today requesting her passport. this is less then 1 year since we applied. May 5 is when i sent the application to mississauga and it was redirected to Ottawa and so on. So my wife is with me but now soon she will be a permanent resident.

thats what we did and she was approved for 6 months.
