@scylla Hello dear, I have submitted an ARC and I received an Acknowledgement of Receipt (I believe everyone calls it AOR). The AOR states that Mexico VO has already received the application and it's in queue for review. How much longer do I need to wait to get a decision after and AOR. This ARC is for a TRV application previously a failed case of refugee claimant.

Thanks
Hi, ARC process depends on many factors such as your felonies, the time spend outside Canada since your eviction, and the purpose of your return to Canada.
I applied for ARC along with a TRP end March, still waiting. Hope is our way

Hi!
Hope your ARC re quickly !
I also want to apply for an ARC for TRV, Did you submitt the letter with the ARC application?
Or just the ARC application?
Thanks!
You have to submit your ARC along with your TRV. This is how it works:
Submit a normal TRV, but at the end of application ( additional information), add a letter explaining why you want to return to Canada, attach your ARC fees to that letter. Submit everything one time.

Hello everyone,

I submitted an ARC + TRV application on behalf of my direct family member on Sep 30th 2023 through registered mail to the Sydney, Aus Consulate. Till today we haven’t received an AOR or any sort of response. The urgency is a engagement coming up. What is an average timeline, I know most are case specific but I’m worried they may have lost it.

Any help would greatly be appreciated.

Hi can someone help please. I am a sponsor. We applied for sponsorship application inland in oct, 2023 and our process is at eligibility and background check since January. My husband was sent back to our home country in may 2024 as he got a exclusion order( 5 year ban for misrepresentation done by my husband’s agent). We asked our lawyer to apply for ARC. Our lawyer told us that we can’t apply for ARC until its been a full year. Can somebody let us know if we can apply before and our inland application has been in for 9 months now. What should we do. @scylla

If he has a five year ban for misrepresentation then he cannot return to Canada until the ban has completed.

ARCs don't overcome misrepresentation bans, at least not that I'm aware of. ARCs overcome 1 year exclusion orders and deportations due to failed refugee claims, but not misrepresentation bans. If you want to try to fight a misrepresentation ban, you need to hire a lawyer and go to court to try to get the misrepresentation ban lifted.

We were told by CBSA officer that it does lift the ban only in case if you have your PR approved already.

I'm not aware of that rule. However it sounds like you're working with a lawyer. Good luck.

How can you have PR approved while you are inadmissible? The only way this would work is H&C. And that takes a lot of time and patience with no certainty. If your attorney is promising you a fast tracked way and guaranteed approval, they are very likely.not being completely honest with you.
