Was your bgc status "not applicable" till you received your PPR
No, it was NA for 4-5 hours for me. It changed to "background check in progress" 1 day before PPR.

Just for information, you will get "Ready for visa" email i.e. PPR only when your status is "Background check in progress". Then the status won't change till COPR, I think.

Do we get message in our account for PPR or just email as email password is with consultant ?

There is no change in CIC account at PPR stage, so you will not know PPR just by looking at your CIC account.

Also you will not get the usual email "your account has been updated".
The only email you get is with the subject "Ready for visa".

Hey, I created this account just for this. I want others to know a timeframe that would receive their approvals. I applied on the Aug.31 and received my landing paper approval on Oct.5 now I am waiting for my passport to be sent back.
I think I am one of the lucky one that my application took a bit over one month. Hope this help anyone to estimate your application.

Ravleen, when did you moved to ip2?. I remember your timelines since I was also stuck at na2 stage.
I don't have any idea, as I have applied through consultant, I don't know when it changed to NA and when it moved to IP2.
I called on CIC no. on Saturday and through IVR I came to know that my BG status says, 'we are processing your background check'.
The timeline of my case, that I know, is:
AOR: 20th August
Med passed: 5th September
asked for RPRF: 12th September
RPRF paid: 14th September
Called on 7th October and came to know that I am in IP2
Since then it has been a long wait.

Same here.. I think you moved to ip2 on 3Rd or 4th October. Even I checked on 4th October and found myself in ip2. Let's see how long we have to wait... Have been waiting patiently.
