Yesterday, we saw on GCKey that background check for our application is being processed. We were expecting to receive a request for additional documents but was surprised to receive DM and PPR this morning, so we're both extremely excited.
This forum has been very helpful as we prepared our application and waited for it to be processed. Many thanks for all the feedback and helpful information!
Here's our updated timeline:
Both Sponsor and Primary Applicant (PA) live in the United States; PA is a U.S. citizen. Married for five years - No previous marriage; No dependant.

- 2018-10-03: ECAS Sponsorship Application Status: "We started processing your application on October 3, 2018."
- 2018-10-04: AOR1 - CPC Mississauga: "This confirms that your application to Sponsor a Member of the Family Class has been received by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) on 2018/08/17 on behalf of the following member(s): Xxxxx "
- 2018-10-10: Medical exam requested
- 2018-10-10: SA - CPC Mississauga: "We are pleased to inform that you have met the requirements for eligibility as a sponsor.")
- 2018-10-29: ECAS Permanent Residence Application Status: "We started processing Xxxxx's application on October 29, 2018.")
- 2018-10-30: Medical exam completed by PA
- 2018-11-02: Medical exam passed (GCKey: "You passed the medical exam.")
- 2018:11-07: CPC Mississauga: "This message is being sent to confirm that the Application for Permanent Residence for your
relative(s) will be processed at CPC Mississauga." - 2018-11-20: BGC - GCKey: "We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information."
- 2018-11-21: DM - ECAS Permanent Residence Application Status: "Decision Made"
- 2018-11-21: PPR - CPC Mississauga: "The processing of your application for permanent residence in Canada is almost complete."

I got the Medical Request today but also a request for Schedule A IMM5669 with below message
Schedule A: Please ensure that the form has been completed and that the information you have provided in Section 6. Personal History is reflected in Section 10. Addresses for each time period.
I did provide my IMM5669 with the application so why are they asking for it again, anybody has any idea?
I did see there is a new version of the form, is that why I have been asked to resend Schedule A?

Hi All
My application was delivered on 9th August. On September 7th, received an email saying I need to pay for biometrics and upload receipt bu 10th October. Did this well within the time timeframe and received email confirmation of upload. Since then, have had no correspondence. When trying to check status of application, comes back with message saying application not found.
Anyone else experiencing anything similar?

Hello Everyone,
I applied PR for my wife. My application was received on Oct 2nd @ Sydney Nova Scotia. Till date I haven’t received AOR. Will it take time to get the PR File number? Did anyone got the AOR for the applications received after Oct 2nd?
