Hey everyone,

I just have a question. So on ecas it was changed today that my application status was changed from "application received" to "in process". Got SA on sept 19 saying my file is being forwarded to Paris, so im wondering what the 'in process" means. Does it mean that my package was just recieved ib Paris, so AOR2? Or does it mean that Paris is processing it?

Im slightly confused with ecas, and i cant link my application on my cic because i have a representative. So it's linked up on her account. So I'm stuck with ecas for my own peace of mind.

I think it just means you application is in the queue at the Paris VO. It could be sometime before the VO action it. A member indicated that it took HKVO 22 days after SA to acknowledge the application and ask for additional documentation.

Finally got an email from CIC, it says to check my account for changes, message. When I check CIC (GC key) the only thing that has changed is I now have an F application number instead of XF. So no AOR1 but I guess at least there's something happening...

That is AOR1. The AOR1 email will be sent to the sponsor not the applicant.

Yes, this is the AOR1. It was the same of me. You'll receive an email with this number. Congrats :)

Yay!! Finally ;D

Woohoo! Just got the actual AOR1 email as well. However, it was sent to my husbands email address (the PA) but was addressed to me. Doesn't instill much confidence in their abilities...
No matter, I'm happy I can finally stop checking my account several times a day :P ;D

I bet you will get SA either tomorrow or day after. I waited 32 days for AOR1 but then SA came the next day.

Congratulations to all for getting Aor. Fingers crossed for mine

Lol...........I feel the same :)

I called CIC yesterday and no luck with getting answers. The lady insisted that we wait 4 the online updates only. I told her there is no update there and her answer was that arranging 1 officer to post updates is very difficult at this point bcz they r very bzy and we should call back if we see no updates in 2 months :o

I checked processing times now and they r back to 29 days for SA ;D

I called CIC this morning and the agent told me, we shouldn't rely on the "29" days SA processing times or whatever they put there because that's an average and it could differ from case to case. He told me they've been processing my application since August 23!( the day they received it) and I told him but I just received the AOR1 two days ago so why has it taken them this long to process it? he said, that's normal and it could take more than a month to process the applications..Anyway, he wasn't helpful at all. You could tell he had memorized a script and was reading from it. The officer that has been assigned to our applications is the slow one so we just have to wait for him/her to send the SA emails :)

same here..I opened a ticket for it, the email that I received said, they update the ECAS on Tuesdays so I am assuming, I have to wait until then.

The annoying thing is that we received three emails from MYCIC account in past couple of days that there is an update but nothing has changed. So, I'm not sure they're updating something on the background that is linked to our application that triggers these emails >:(

So back in July we did the upfront medical exams, all was good and the form (Proof) was forwarded with the UMI number and all that jazz, but then today we got a message in MyCIC requesting the medical to be completed within the next 30 days.
Had it been lost, or misplaced? And who do I reach out to first to inquire, Canada or Hong Kong (where it's currently at)?
