So back in July we did the upfront medical exams, all was good and the form (Proof) was forwarded with the UMI number and all that jazz, but then today we got a message in MyCIC requesting the medical to be completed within the next 30 days.
Had it been lost, or misplaced? And who do I reach out to first to inquire, Canada or Hong Kong (where it's currently at)?
We got the exact same message from Hong Kong visa office today. I hope to find some free time to contact someone at CIC about this today. If I figure something out I will post here. Very confusing.

I called CIC this morning and the agent told me, we shouldn't rely on the "29" days SA processing times or whatever they put there because that's an average and it could differ from case to case.
I hate how the call centre agents call the processing times an average; it's not. I had an agent even tell me that it means half of applicants are processed before the processing time, half are after (i.e. a median). While it's true that it can't be relied on, the CIC states on their own website how it's calculated. It's based on 80% of applicants, with straightforward cases, having been processed in that time.

I know the agents are there to mostly give general knowledge, and not specific case information, but they can't seem to be able to do even that.

This definitely sounds like something got misplaced, as you said your medical was still in progress on MyCIC. My wife got her medical done near the time of yours (according to the spreadsheet), and she's also in Mainland China, and hers passed near the time that we got AOR1. I've read of some applicants having trouble with clinics electronically sending the results in the past. Maybe try contacting the clinic you had it performed?

What's the difference between RPRF and landing fee?
We have to pay 3 fees? Sponsorship fee, RPRF fee & landing fee?
How much is the landing fee?

Hey Guys,

I spoke to CIC and mentioned why I wasn't able to link my application online with MyCIC for my wife. They told me if the process is outside Canada spousal sponsorship, I wont be able to link the application.

And asked if there was any update on the application or process, still told me they don't have access to the outside Canada process though I applied the application in Canada?

**Also told me the best way to link the application to try my UCI and my name to see the application not the spousal. just in case if anyone wants to try this.

And clues?

I know that sometimes i have to wait until they enter the information to link my application but how come they wont access to the application that is what I don't understand.

I believe RPRF, or Right of Permanent Residence Fee, is the same as the landing fee.

You do pay three fees, they are:

Right of Permanent Residence Fee: $490.00
Sponsorship Application Fee: $75.00
Principal Applicant Fee: $475.00
Total: $1040.00

That's not true. Outland can definitely link to MyCIC. Another display of the call centre's ignorance.

It seems the most success people had in linking to MyCIC is using the personal information of the PA from IMM 0008.

We just got AOR1!!

RPRF is the same as landing fee.

MyCIC is linked through the primary applicant's information, based on the answers given on your IMM0008. That's what I used to answer the questions, and I was able to link the application within 10 days after it was received at CPC-Mississauga.

Thanks.
I will wait and see if I can still link the application for the upcoming days but for now I got no luck.

Will update once I see any change on this.

same here..I opened a ticket for it, the email that I received said, they update the ECAS on Tuesdays so I am assuming, I have to wait until then.

The annoying thing is that we received three emails from MYCIC account in past couple of days that there is an update but nothing has changed. So, I'm not sure they're updating something on the background that is linked to our application that triggers these emails
Yup, I also can access myCIC but not ECAS yet. Guess I'll wait until Tuesday then.

Congrats to everyone who got their AOR today!! :D

Hi all!
Greetings from Morocco!

My wife and I are also joining in this group of August. I'm Canadian. She is Moroccan. We've been living for the past decade in beautiful Morocco.

Package delivered on August 22nd. AOR1 was received on September 17th. I was able to link our application through GC account. But there isn't much to see except that my wife passed the medical tests.

Please take the time -if you didn't so already- to add your stats to the August spreadsheet (I can't post links yet).

Best of luck to us all!
Cheers!
