1) after SA depending on your Visa office, you will get an AOR2 email confirming that the visa office has received your application. Some visa offices don't send AOR2. My visa office doesn't send that email so I was waiting for the ECAS to be updated to show that they've started processing our application.r2rlanes said:QUESTIONS PLEASE:
1. What's next after SA?
2. What's the meaning of the letter we received stating that the "Application for Permanent Residence for you relative has been forwarded to the visa office for further processing"?
3. How long will it take to process the Application for Permanent Residence
in the visa office?
Please anyone enlighten me for any possibilities. Comments and suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance and good luck to all of us!
2) After the SA approval, CIC sends your application to your visa office which can be chosen based on the applicant's nationality or other factors that they take into account. From there, the visa office processes the applicant's application. They will determine his eligibility, whether his medical or background (security and criminality) is passed. Based on those, they will decide to issue the visa or not.
3) every visa office is different and has its processing time. You should check that from this website:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/
80% of the cases are processed within a timeframe that they've indicated on their website. However, every case is different and could take longer or shorter time. I think it could also depend on the workload at the visa office too, if they're dealing with a lot of applications or not.
I hope these answered your questions. Other members could also add if I've missed anything. good luck with your application
