QUESTIONS PLEASE:

1. What's next after SA?

2. What's the meaning of the letter we received stating that the "Application for Permanent Residence for you relative has been forwarded to the visa office for further processing"?

3. How long will it take to process the Application for Permanent Residence
in the visa office?

Please anyone enlighten me for any possibilities. Comments and suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance and good luck to all of us!:)

1) after SA depending on your Visa office, you will get an AOR2 email confirming that the visa office has received your application. Some visa offices don't send AOR2. My visa office doesn't send that email so I was waiting for the ECAS to be updated to show that they've started processing our application.

2) After the SA approval, CIC sends your application to your visa office which can be chosen based on the applicant's nationality or other factors that they take into account. From there, the visa office processes the applicant's application. They will determine his eligibility, whether his medical or background (security and criminality) is passed. Based on those, they will decide to issue the visa or not.

3) every visa office is different and has its processing time. You should check that from this website:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/

80% of the cases are processed within a timeframe that they've indicated on their website. However, every case is different and could take longer or shorter time. I think it could also depend on the workload at the visa office too, if they're dealing with a lot of applications or not.

I hope these answered your questions. Other members could also add if I've missed anything. good luck with your application :)

That confirms "Step 2" from what user aylar10 explained: Your VO started processing your application (the PR part).

I also checked ECas the moment read your post :D and same got updated from application received to in process but still 1 line lol .but at least I know they still working on it after getting SA .
That's mean we should be expecting AOR2. If there is if none , that's means MVO is started processing,
well although I know they already started , since mycic eligibility in Progress even before Getting SA email.

Cheers!

That is right! I am monitoring your pots as well, as we are almost on the same timeline and waiting for the same status update! Hope we can make it together so fast!:) The only problem I have is that I can't link our application to my CIC as of this time. Good luck to us and I know we will all make it all to the end of this process!:) Keep us all posted! :D :D :D

I wanna be positive and ppr is definitely on its way. I can't wait and can't believe how fast the process is today. How I wish I can renew my passport first before the PPR. This is so fast... Thank God and thank yah all!:) :D :D :D

Have you got your SA?

Not officially by e-mail or letter yet BUT I've been informed by agents over the phone that I was approved. Also, on ECAS it says decision made on the sponsor side and the started processing date on the principal applicant side. As well, MyCIC shows that the review of eligibility is in progress.

Inchallah!

But for the record, twelve (12) of us, August applicants, are still waiting for their SA. That's between 20% and 25% (or 12 out of 53 applicants).
