2 months down since we passed our application. Aug 9, 2016.. but still patiently waiting for updates on my background status hoping for updates soon.. and praying for everyone to receive there SA next this week. So all the VOs will start processing application. Hopefully we will all get our PPR by Dec. I would say it will be the best Christmas gift we will receive before the year ends. Let's think positively!!! And pray pray

Any one got any insight on how long it takes for your VO to request additional documents or Interview, Our application has been processing since early March 2016 sponsor side finally changed to DM but no update on Principal Applicant side , Do they request this at any time they want ? if it's needed ? Just wondering why we have not heard anything yet :

Unfortunately, nobody knows how long it will take them to request additional information or if they will call you for an interview. It all depends on the visa officer. You can contact CIC to find out if your application has been transferred to your visa office or not. If it has, then you just have to wait until they get back to you. Other than that, you can't do much.

Here we go, it's Monday again and can't wait to see updates from our applications. May we all get a very good news this week. It is actually funny, before I hate Monday as it's the start of a busy work days, but now, I really can't wait for Monday... Good luck everyone!

Did you already receive the SA letter/email? If not, that's a very long time to wait! Maybe it means they're finally actually starting to work on your file. Some VO's have a very large backlog which means applicants wait a long time (months and months) before someone even looks at their file

If you're wondering if there has been any progress on your application then you should order the GCMS notes. I'm not sure how to do it, but I'm sure there's lots of info on this forum if you search.

We got SA letter March 4th 2016, application was then transferred to Paris for further processing, ECAS was updated about a week ago with sponsor side finally going from in Process to DM, Applicant side still says the same
We received Xx xx Application for Permanant Residency on January 26th 2016

We started processing xx xx application on March 16th 2016


Medical results have been relieved

Got my MP to call for an update , only said it was in process
Our Lawyer also called for update Said that inquiry was transferred to agent and if any further information is required , they will let us know

It's been processing for nearly 7 months we should have heard SOMTHING by now!!!!! :-[

Paris office currently has a processing time of 9 months, so... hopefully that means you're almost there. Maybe no news is good news! In other words they won't request any additional documents or interview and you'll get PPR very soon
