Checking every day to see when it will change. Hoping it skips past in progress right to decision made

Well, still waiting for DM status after sending in a copy of my passport....ugh. Current status expires in March...had to submit a visitor visa application just in case approval takes longer than another 3 weeks...there goes another $100! Oh well, better safe than sorry.

agreed, it makes 0 sense to request passport before file has even been processed with no DM. I understand things are slower in the phills and things don't always go they should but to hold passport for months seems crazy. At some point changes need to be made at the Canadian Embassy in Makati , I'm sure those changes will come after all of our applications are processed ...

Heyyyyyy guyzzzzzzz...sorry iv Been M.I.A for a while..... Here is my update. I FINALLY received AOR email on December 25th confirming that mississauga received our application August 22 2014 hahaha which is laughable but what can ya do?! Then december 29th another email with SA and saying our application is being sent to Havana. Nothing after that but my MP emailed me confirming that the application reached Havana Jan 6th.....sooooo now that things are on their way i can FINALLY stop holding my breath and just wait....

First of all congrats for the SA after such a lengthy stage 1 process.

The sponsor will have to order the GCMS notes and he/she will have to upload a form while applying which says that the principal applicant has given his consent.

You will have to order electronic because for the physical one the officer will have to scan all the documents and this can backfire on your application.

I am not sure why you want the GCMS notes when you have just received SA. Usually one orders notes when something has been denied so that they are better able to address any issues when re-applying or appealing. In your case the assessment of your spouse may not even be started. I understand from reading other posts here that this request may in fact delay your application.

I requested the notes from the physical file and basically just got a copy of my application back. So I think the proper choice is the electronic file. I sent a new request in again and this time asked for the electronic file. Others may have a different opinion.

I want to order them to see if there are any notes for the next stage....I read that some ppl found out before hearing from cic that they will require more documents etc. just helps u get ahead instead of wait around for them to contact u

I ordered my notes about 3 months after sponsorship and found out that they had already found my marriage genuine and was satisfied with my file. I then ordered them two months later when they were sent to my visa office and found out they had lost my husband divorce certificate and was looking for a birth certificate for a step son who was 26 and not coming to Canada and was not put down on the application. Great source of information. I was able to email both documents before they asked for them.

ECAS changed to IN PROCESS finally .. They started working on app n Feb 20th.Hope we will hear soon something from them to send the passport
