Hey Guys,
So here's an update to my file:

App filed: August 27th 2014
SA: October 6th, 2014
File transfer: Oct 13th, 2014

Got my hubby's PPR via email on Jan 16, 2015!! :)

email was as follows:

This is in reference to your application for permanent residence in Canada as a member of the family class. Your application is now ready for finalization.
Please comply with the attached instruction for passport submission immediately as your visa is valid till ... and disregard the 60-day time period in the attached letter.
Your medical report is valid till ...and so is your visa. Please advise the Canada Visa Application Centre that your case is urgent due to the short visa validity period. Please notify us via email the date you despatch your passports to VAC so we can keep track. We will expedite on account of this.
We hope this information will be of assistance.

i have never seen CIC being soo direct before as they always have been soo vague!!

So whoever says that the wait is long till you hear and all the negative comments on this forum, i would tell the others who are still waiting, please don't let those negative thoughts bother you and hope for the best and if you eagerly want and wait for something and you know you are true to yourself and the relationship, it will come to you!

Even though the generic timeline for Singapore says 31 months, but that's only when interview comes into play.. my hubby and I never believed in that..

Submitted his passport on Jan 18th at the VAC, and ECAS was changed same to in process and decision made! :)

:D :D :D :D

Congratulations!

Thanks for sharing that - a friend of mine is looking to help his wife immigrate from Singapore and was concerned with the 31 months timeline. This is good news for him!

Hi msbigshot - Looks like our application was made round the same time, and is being processed in Ottawa.

And agree with Mariac819 and other sentiments here - Ottawa appears to be dragging their feet since the holidays.

It might just do that. Judging from statistics and other forums it seems like Warsaw is not as accurate updating the online status as they used to be anymore since they started processing applications from more countries. Too busy working to update it I guess :D

so my wife received PPR 3 weeks ago and we sent it to embassy 2 weeks ago, but no online status update, still says application received.......

I've heard that before, sometimes they don't change the ecas status to DM OR in process until after you've heard back from them via email or snail mail. Don't worry, you guys are almost there! :)

Canadian embassy Manila received original passport, January 22, i checked ecasand it still shows, Application received, hopefully it will change to in process by March.

Does anyone know why the Manila VO has passports for so long? It seems most of the other VOs will request passport only after DM and the passport is returned within hours or at most a couple of days.

What does one do if they need their passport to travel? Some of the dates I have seen recorded here imply that the Manila VO has passports for 4 to 6 months. Am I misreading something?

For a TRV, the Manila VO turns the passports around in less than 48 hours.

So who's the owner of the Google Docs spreadsheet? Says file had been deleted and won't be accessible soon :(.
