Thank you :) I'm trying. It's just so disappointing when only the first step is taking this long. I feel like this entire process is just going to take forever :( especially when you really miss someone and you just want to get on with your lives together :(

I hear u new girl.. Just stay positive.. I feel the same way, bring away from a loved one and missing them much.. Good news coming your way soon..

:o ;D My husband arrived yesterday for a two week visit and this morning when we checked, WE HAVE IN PROCESS!!!!! Our first morning together in four months and this is the news we received. We are going to buy a lotto ticket today!

You should!!! Congratulations.

I just did my landing yesterday. Went to Niagara, walked the Rainbow Bridge until EUA side, told them that I was just landing and didn't want to entry USA, turned back and went to imigration office in Canada side. It was very simple and fast. Less than half an hour the whole process.

We are very happy, I can't believe all this wait is behind us now. ;D

Seems like things have slowed down, obviously because of Christmas break but lets hope CIC gets moving on some progress.
I sure hope there are some changes in the manila embassy,
good luck to all in the new year

:D Hi evebody!

I sent my application on Nov 21 so reception in Mississauga is around Dec 1rst.
I am sponsoring my French commun law partner and his 15 years old son. We all live together in South of France since 2 years and 1/2, him, his son, my two sons and I (the 3 of us have both nationalities: Canadian and French). My sons and I want to go back home in Vancouver. we will take the family chihuahua Oreo and his obese" best pal in the world" Chaton the family cat. We are hoping to leave in August so the boys can start school in September in Canada.
We choose an outland application and to do the medical when the sponsoship will be approved...we were afraid the whole process will take more than the one year validity of the medical.
I am glade I found this forum so I can share my doubts and wait with people who are able to understand how hard it is. :-[
The very best to all of us!!!!

So far, it's crickets from Ottawa for us (where our app got transferred from London as part of the pilot-project). However, if you follow the London Outland Applicant thread, there was a little bit of movement last week. So here's hoping!

PPR email just arrived today. Passport will be dropped in person tomorrow in The Canadian embassy as requested, to be picked up in the same day at 2pm
Greatest news ever :P :-*
I wish all of you the best luck. Things happen so fast Only if you Believe it's gonna be
