Just thought we would update...we sent our file August 13 and had SA approval on October 8th. We sent the medical information with the initial application but nothing was on Ecas. So we emailed the Paris VO, as the phone number they provide does not allow for you to reach anyone, and was told they did not have the medical information. So we emailed the info on Thursday and followed up today. Within half an hour of our follow up we had Medicals received on ecas. Sometimes I think it's important to follow up. Had we waited who knows how long it would have been!!!

HI Kassine,

Congrats on the progress. My application will go to Paris VO. I am wondering for what country are sponsoring? I applied in October so want to have an idea of the timeline, especially mine is not a visa-exempt country.

Your husband is the sponsor correct?

I may be wrong BUT I think that the sponsor gets one UCI # and the applicant gets another UCI #. The only reason I say this is because I cannot use the UCI # they gave my husband and use my name / DOB in ECAS to log on. It tells me CANNOT BE FOUND. However, when I use the application # that starts with F123456789 etc and I use my name / DOB I can see my status for PR online.

When I use the UCI # that came with the SA and my husband's name and DOB I can see the status of the Sponsor application and my PR application but it is his information / address / name etc.

I hope that made some sense.

I am applicant and my husband is sponsor.

My husband called them back with another question and asked for his UCI again, this time they gave it to him (he is the sponsor) and it works exactly as you descibed. It shows his address and information, and under PR application status it shows application has been recieved 6 of October and medical results have been recieved. They told him my number will be given to me with the first communication from visa office.

paris visa office works on files from these countries:
Algeria, Andorra, Belgium, France, Gibraltar, Libya, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Monaco, Portugal (including Azores and Madeira), Spain(including the Canary Islands), St. Pierre et Miquelon, Switzerland, Tunisia

and my husband is tunisian

I think every visa office is different as far as when they will update your file and if they send you an AOR to let you know they received your application. Maybe try to find a thread on here by searching by Pretoria visa office- you may be able to find others who have been transferred to the same visa office

I have received the email from the Pretoria visa office today along with the UCI number. Hope for a speedy process and by God's grace no umwanted complication. Wish the same for all of u ;D

A big thumps up to all of u and maybe we gonna cross each other someday :)

anyone have trouble tracking the status of application using UCI # ?
we received SA on November 5, but cant track it using UCI number. If we track on CIC site using just the File number and my wifes name is shows just application received and her mailing address... using UCI number or file number and my names(I'm the sponsor) it doesn't locate anything .
application was forwarded to Manila on or around November 5th......

As you are the sponsor, the file number will not work for you. The file number is for the principal applicant only.

The only way the sponsor is able to check ECAS is with their UCI number and their details.

Do you know whose UCI number you are using? You and your partner will have a different UCI. Your partner may not have one yet.

I think the UCI number is for me, but I tried the UCI number under both our names and nothing comes up....not sure if I should be concerned....
the application should be in manila already as it should have been sent there around November 5th

Are you married or conjugal partner ?

When you trying to login with sponsors UCI No. you have to use his family name, then sponsors birth date and country where he is born

I'm married to my Filipina wife, I sponsored her under family class to come here to Canada. I received my SA by email on November 5th along with the UCI number and they stated it was being sent now to Manila for further processing. I used the UCI with the surname and tried it with each of our birthdates and place of birth and it comes up with nothing for either of us. the supplied file number just gives my wife's address in Philippines with no other info.

I already logged in next day after we got our SA,with my husband's ( the sponsor ) data . And they already get the medical exam results . Maybe you should try to call them and ask them why cant you log in

Should I call manila or Canada? It says on SA letter to inquire to manila for future correspondence...

Then call Manilla, but you should consider delays with the site updates too . Manilla office will contact you if then need more documents or to send you a notice about permanet residence approval, sometimes no news means a good news :)

Anyone im ottawa VO get PPR / DM yet,?

If you can log in with your file number and you have SA, you have nothing to worry about. ECAS is notoriously unreliable.
