That's better than mine. CIC told me I have to wait another month. I sent out the form on Sep 10 and CIC signed on it Sep 11. They said my form was entered to the system on Oct 9.

What contact information do you guys have to call CIC because I can't get through to an operator

Hey guys, I applied July 29th to CIC Mississauga and I never heard anything until Oct. 7th. I got frustrated waiting and called the CIC helpline on the morning of the 7th and they said the application was there but has not been processed yet, they said it could take another 2-3 weeks. This was around 8:30 in the AM, I checked my email around 12:15 PM that same day and my SA approval email was there. So long story short, do not go by what the CIC helpline says as a timeline. Good luck with the First Stage approval, it was really a relief when it finally came through. I waited 69 days for mine though. ;)

What information did you give them when you called to help them find your file?

I gave them my name, home address, email address and DOB. I told them I did not have a client ID yet, but did have my Receipt for payment. The agent on the helpline looked up my file with just that info and she told me they have my file. Very strange that a few hours after I called, my SA was approved. Maybe coincidence...maybe not. The reason I phoned was 69 days was 28 days beyond the timeline CIC had at that time for 1st stage approval.

I have two #'s for the CIC helpline. One is a toll free # and one is long distance. I called the long distance one because I have unlimited Canada calling on my phone, so it doesn't cost me any extra.
1-613-944-4000 is the long distance (to me) #
1-888-242-2100 is the toll free #
Both take a while before you get an operator, so either one will work.

Yeah, anyone have another number other than the 1888 #? My husband waited forever to get someone and then the automatic machine hung up on him...
