AUGUST 2014 OUTLAND Applicants

Today I got an email from CIC requesting me to send in the update IMM1344. This so funny that before I sent in my application , I got the information from this forum that the form had been updated and I specifically redo my IMM 1344 with the new 08-2014 version and sent it out Aug 24....yet they are requesting the same thing.......... guess I need to send the same thing again....or it is a generic mail for anyone submitted their app within a certain period........

I think you should call CIC or reply to their email stating the same. it is very dumb on their part.

Wow that's crazy. I can't believe how intolerant they are of even the most minor of errors on the applicants end yet when it comes to them they make mistakes all the time and have no accountability. I am 99% sure the call centre agent will just tell you to do what the request says, those agents always go by whatever the visa officers say and rarely do otherwise.

As hard as it is to believe, That one form may have gotten separated from the application somehow and they managed to misplace it.

Example: similar to you, In our application there was proof included of previous relationship severance, and when our application was sent to Manila ....yep you guessed it Manila requested the same documents that were sent to Mississauga to begin with.

If possible redo that form and send it back in along with their letter.

This might sound crazy but it is very possible. We are all human and make mistakes.

Did you check the form that you took out? Maybe you filed the new one but by mistake put in the old one again. I only ask because i know how stressful this process can be and sometimes we make silly mistakes. Do you still have the one you took out? Check it and see if its the old one?

Unfortunately, I think things are slowing down again at CIC...now that everyone is back to work from summer vacations ;D

Average processing time for SA for July applications (per the spreadsheet only) was 49 days. We are passing that time with some of the Aug applications (and some of the later July applications).

Oh well, just keep waiting....

It stink's not knowing what's going on.. Anymore updates on SA? I check mine and my husband's email almost every minute and no word yet, it's been a little over a month for us.

I think my application is the first one on the August spreadsheet and nothing yet for us!
I am wondering how the new form request will impact our processing times...like how much longer will it be for those of us who got the request.

It stink's not knowing what's going on.. Anymore updates on SA? I check mine and my husband's email almost every minute and no word yet, it's been a little over a month for us.

Good news here! I received sponsorship approval this morning! We submitted ours the same day as you I think, so my fingers are crossed for you!
On the not so good news - my husband however also received an email asking for clarification on his Schedule A - he has a bit of a complicated situation as he works on rotation so we need to clarify that for them. They also asked for a copy of our AB marriage certificate - which I am SURE we included, but oh well we can resend it. So unfortunately I imagine that will delay the rest of the application a little bit.

We received both notices via email.

Congrats! Chart updated. CIC still following the trend of preferences for commonwealth countries (London, Australia) and those applying from US (thru Ottawa).

I received SA today. Email sent to my husband's id. And for further enquiries I am asked to contact New Delhi office.

Received email from CIC-Email-Communications-CPCM <CPCM-EXTCOM@cic.gc.ca>

I had sent the updated August form in my original App. Thank God they noticed it !
