AUGUST 2014 OUTLAND Applicants

We just got our Sponsorship Approval by email. Says that:

"You have met the requirements for eligibility as a sponsor. Accordingly, the Application for Permanent Residence for your relative(s) has been forwarded to a visa office abroad for further processing."

We submitted on Aug 21 with the latest forms so there were no requests to redo anything. Says that our application has been forwarded to CPC Ottawa for further processing.

If I were a betting man, I think the remaining Ottawa people on the August list (despite the changed form delays) and the London people will get their SA next....just a WILD guess LOL ;D

However dt-tdot, you are due to get yours for sure!!!

Unfortunately I think it has more to do with being a Commonwealth country applicant or US applicant (i.e., Ottawa, London). But you never know...keep your fingers crossed and anyone could be next!!!

Congrats to all who received Sponsorship approval! Things are starting to get moving for many of us. great to see. We received SA on September 29. File sent to Ottawa.

Sidenote:
Any other USA-to-Canada Applicants who might be able to help me with fingerprint/background question...we sent our fingerprints to FBI on July 21, Just received (forwarded from old US address) the clearance today. It was my assumption that FBI forwarded a copy or verification to CIC once completed. But I would like to be as proactive as possible and get my copy faxed over. has anyone come across this yet or been asked to provide anything exceptional in this case?

Police clearances have to be sent out in original. not sure if they will accept fax.
As far as I know , FBI does not send to CIC directly.
yours seems to have taken forever, I received mine in about a month.

Thanks! The copy I got has a seal and a signature, but it is most definitely a photo copy as the seal and signature are not originals. Happy to mail it in. Have an email in to Ottawa to verify. I think we fell victim to the usual 2-3 week hold up on USA-Canada mail. Not sure if it affects anyone else, but I will keep all posted on what Ottawa says in regard to clearance.

I know what you mean. it doesn't look real, but if you try to make a copy, watermark 'VOID' appears all over the doc.
so what you got is the original.
Do make scan copies before you send out your originals.

I think I was the first to get the request (Aug. 27th) and I haven't heard anything yet

I guess that CIC process our applications is according to nationality , it's not by sequence!! I know how you feel, just be patient with them!!
