Can they do that? If so I will ask someone to do that for me. I called so many times, but all of them told me to wait another two months. My timeline is half a month earlier than you..
She told me that she could only tell me (applicant) information regarding myself, the sponsor (husband) had to call for himself. She did say though that she could look and see what the status of my app was so I said yes please do that. She did and said that it was received and was in process. She was going to send an email to Mississauga telling them to either update it and send us an email or send us information regarding what else needs to be sent in. (Not her EXACT words)..

I sent them an e-mail about a week ago. The next day they asked me for more information. That same day I sent them the information and never heard back from them. Maybe I'm just cursed. Lol
I too, sent an email this morning thinking I wasnt going to get through on the phone. Said it was taking 30 days to get a response back for application update info....

msbigshot - the ONLY way YOUR part of the application (applicant) can be IN PROCESS and being worked on is IF you have ALREADY received Sponsor approval. Therefore, it is likely that you were one of the unlucky ones that did not receive a physical email or letter stating your sponsor was approved... HOWEVER, this means that your sponsor WAS approved and your file is being worked on (i.e. you are WAYYYY further ahead than sponsor approval). Assuming of course, that the person you spoke to was not an idiot ;)

Congrats! ;D

They told you that your application was in process at the Ottawa VO?

I didn't even know there was a chance they wouldn't even send an SA! That is insane!

I think it's better to send emails. I send one yesterday and got response this morning. At least I confirmed that they received my updated form
Sep 11, and I'm in line from sep 11. Still need to wait another week or two.

What address did you send the email to? Your officer's one that was on the letter requested updated forms?

Same thing happened to me, we didn't get an actual notice of SA, my first correspondence from CIC was from my VO requesting me to pay the Right of Permanent Residence fee! It's seems to be happening more and more, not to worry

Oh geeze, I had no idea that could happen! So the only way to get MY UCI number is IF my portion of the application is being worked on? I ask because she gave me one, and if that is the case then that shows that we defiantly did in fact receive SA with no email. Because she never did come out and say that my portion was being worked on, she said let me give you your client id number...
But now, when I try to use my UCI #, it is saying there is nothing coming up.... Any reason for this?

Interesting! We've paid and done everything up front, so I'm interested to see what our first contact with CIC will be...

No she did not say that it was in process at Ottawa VO. My wording may have confused myself and others. She did say that she could see our app was in process and everything looked good on my husbands end and they haven't requested any new documents. So maybe my portion is not yet in processing mode yet?...

My status online just changed. "We received your application Sep 11." At least I saw some changes. Wish I can get SA within this week.
