Yours should be the Sept one, not Aug. Very likely they haven't start yours, they are working on files received on Aug 20 or before.

I sent off our application packet from Germany on August 13...I was able to track the package so I know it's been successfully delivered on September 2.
Are we going to get a notification when they start working on it? Like an email?
Or is it normal to not hear anything and they already started working on the sponsor application?

It's confusing to me. I sent it off a while ago and haven't heard anything.

CIC has just updated the timeline. They are working on files received on Aug 20. What about us? Does that mean we lost two months waiting time and now it's a restart? No matter our file was returned or need updated?

I think their 41 day claim may be a bit optimistic. In my opinion, those results seem to be skewed by processing the Commonwealth applicants and US applicants first (which they seem to do pretty quickly). You have to take it with a grain of salt...

Agreed. I'm past 41 days. App received Aug 22. Had the new form and no form requests. But no word yet. All of the Commonwealth countries seem to be getting preferential treatment, which sucks.

I'm watching you carefully because it seems we are in a similar boat! Did you resubmit the form? If so, when did you receive that email?

We haven't gotten the email request for updated forms. However right up to the day of us sending it in I double checked for any new forms and sent them in with our app. As of Monday there is no word so im getting nervous, anxious and all in between.. Keep me posted on yours since our timelines are so close!

We had our sponsorship approved on August 21, and our file sent to Singapore for PR approval. She recd confirmation of file sent to Singapore, on september 15 , i recd email from Singapore requesting a Divorce Certificate, which i emailed back to them.

Originally i seen our file on Ecas when sponsorship was approved, but cannot see anything on line since, even after they have requested document on initial review. Anyone been in same spot, any idea when i will see online InProcess.

Am i at the start of would it indicate they are working on file but not posted anything yet?

Mine has changed to Application received too AND I got an email (to the principal applicant's address) from CIC Mississauga requesting me to pay my right of permanent residence fee and provide further details on my Schedule A??! Does that mean that they have begun processing my application even though they didn't send us SA? So confused

Good question. What specifically did they want you to add to Sch A? Your personal history? Since you applied via London, they may be processing it here (Ottawa or Mississauga). Would seem unusual that they are looking at the principal applicants information in detail if they are not at that stage. SA approval only looks at those forms for completeness and qualification. They I assume they only do a simple completeness check on the rest before they send it off (or process further). Regardless, still sounds promising!!

Use the principal applicant's "client number" and other information it asks for. The client number is the same one on any study or work permit they have. If not, then you can't check and need to wait for the number to be assigned.

I just got my SA approved this morning!! I got new form request in the early of September! it took 2 months to get first stage approved!

Congrats! Ya, just as I thought...probably two or more full months is the processing time for those who don't get "exceptioins" based on preferred countries.

They asked for my history from 2013/8 until now. I started another thread and apparently it has happened before that SA wasn't issued. And yes, the fact they have moved on to assessing the PA portion would lead me to believe that they are done with the sponsor assessment! I will call tomorrow to confirm
