Congrats,good to see some movement.

still waiting here too
and it seems manila VO has no update for a while na especially for ppr
but let's keep our faith high that one day it will be our turn :)

Paid my RPRF online today and emailed the receipt to both Mississauga and Ottawa. It wasn't requested yet but just trying to get everything as complete as possible. I also attached my Sponsorship Approval letter in the PDF so there is no mistaking where the payment is to be applied too. lol Makes sense that if the CIC doesn't have to send out an email requesting the fee and then waiting for it, they can proceed to the next step right away. (fingers crossed) SOOOOO tired of waiting.

i happened to read from another thread about the cic said, the reason why there's no movement is bcoz they are under the process in determining the quota. i didnt know that spousal sponsorship have quota.

so its really true that they have. ???

Correct me if I'm wrong, I don' t believe Spousal has any quota.
I think other threads must be referring to another type of application.

Theres quota for everything including spousal.

Where should I email the embassy regarding my expiring medical? Anyone knows the email address? :'(

There IS NOT quota for spouse sponsorship. For parents and grandparents is 5000 per year.

I recommend you to read this article.

pacificimmigration.ca/en/news/immigration-quota-for-2013

For spouses, partners and children the upper limit is 48.500 visas worldwide in 2013. If they already hit this number Visa Offices can't issue a visa in this category during December 2013. Applicants have to wait for January 2014.

Now some people say its just a "target" but not a "quota" but with a decent knowledge of english, you will probably know it is pretty much same thing... Matter of fact they are more likely to hit the low-end target than over it.

The article below will shed some light on this discussion and provide us with additional hope. The last paragraph states there are no quotas currently in place for partner and child sponsorship cases. :D

The following article is also very good:
