I have received the confirmation of PR letter.
Application Received on Aug 27, 2012
Medical Requested Apr 27, 2013
Medical done May 28, 2013
Medical result received (guessing) June 05, 2013
Decision made (guessing) July 02, 2013

CPR was dated on July 02, 2013.
Since I did not provided prepaid express envelop thingy, I received that letter in regular mail, on July 09, 2013
Because I am from visa-exampt country, no visa counterfoil will be issued.
Not sure what that means exactly, but I think that means there is no passport request required..

QUESTION
1.I thought CEC doesnt have an interview process, but it is mentioned on the letter.
What would they 'interview' me about?
2. the letter says that if you am unable to proceed to a Canadian Port of Entry, you have the option of obtaining your permanent resident status in Canada. contact CIC call centre ASAP to arrange an appointment with the nearest CIC office to your place of residence.
Is there a disadvantage of doing that instead of crossing the boarder actually???

If the decision is already made then I don't understand what Interview are they conducting.

Interview is v rare in CEC, but yes they can conduct one.

if u haven't ordered for gcms notes, do so immediately. it will give u the idea of what the interview is all about. it takes 30 days to receive this note so the earlier the better

What did they say about the interview on the letter? I had and appointment to land at my local CIC office and they sent me the appointment letter mentioned that I would be interview. However, it was just the landing process. I was just asked the questions on the CoPR.
For the disadvantage of landing at your local CIC, I think you just have to wait for the appointment while you can cross the border and do the landing right after you receive the CoPR.

Hello Friends,

I am hoping to receive my medical request soon. It would be great if anyone can suggest a good medical practitioner for undergoing my medical tests in Toronto.
Friends....please share your thoughts/where you actually did yours. I am looking for someone who will do it as fast as possible.

As expected, received the below email from CIC today. Now it is almost certain that it will be rejected. Any suggestions/ways to prevent this?

This refers to your application for permanent residence in Canada. Please note that your file is in process and will continue to be processed at the Case Processing Pilot-Ottawa (“CPP-O”) office. I am writing you this letter to express my serious concern(s) regarding your application.

You have been working and residing in Montreal, Quebec since your arrival in Canada in May 2010. As per R87.1(1), the Canadian experience class is prescribed as a class of persons who may become permanent residents on the basis of their ability to become economically established in Canada, their experience in Canada, and their intention to reside in a province other than the Province of Quebec. You demonstrate strong ties to the Province of Quebec given your employment history. For this reason, I am not satisfied you intend to reside outside the Province of Quebec. Therefore, I am not satisfied your meet the requirements of the program.

Therefore I am asking you to submit any additional information and/or documentation that would allay my concern(s). You have 60 days from the date of this letter to submit the additional information and/ or documentation to the above address.

Please ensure that you quote the file number indicated at the top of this letter on any information you submit. If you choose not to respond with additional information and/or documentation, or if your submission does not allay these concern(s), your application may be refused.

We look forward to receiving the additional information and/or documentation within 60 days.

Yours truly,

Hey any progress on your CEC processing? I hope you've got solid proofs to convince the VO that you will move out of QC. I am working and living in Quebec as well and intend to apply for CEC. Hope your case goes fine which will give me confidence.. Good luck!
