I agree with CECAUG1, but I feel nicole1006's frustration. I am in the same situation as nicole1006. The good thing is that, for some reason, they still work on/do something on our applications. I asked them to change my address, and it was updated less than 24 hours. I know it doesn't mean anything to my case, but it is good to know they are somehow responsive during strike. nicole1006, if you get a chance, could you tell us your timeline by updating your profile so that other members can see your progress?

Hopefully, I will get medical soon after my PC reaches Ottawa.

I received our passports today morning. Took a day off and completed the landing at Fort Erie. Landing details by another forum member "swahid" helped. Swahid, if you read this sometime, thank you for your detailed guidance. With your permission, posting the same for others benefit.

I took the documents provided by CIC (COPR) & passports. Had taken additional documents like bank statements, pay stubs etc. But none of those were asked. There was no line up in the immigration office. The officer was very nice & cordial. The whole process took 15 min. Considering it was for my wife, son & me, it was pretty fast.

I want to take this opportunity to thank all the members of this forum. The support, guidance and wealth of knowledge on this forum is tremendous. Most importantly, forum members sharing each other's joy, frustrations, anxiety, all emotions that are possible during this journey, definitely helps.
I will be around !!! This forum is like an addiction now Even more than Facebook or Twitter . To all those waiting at various stages of their application, all the best !!! May you feel the same happiness, satisfaction & relief that I am feeling today !!! Also, remember, if you don't make it, it's Canada's loss, not yours

I am August 23 applicant and still not received medicals. online status shows "app received". bit worried. i checked this blog and many of the sept applicants also got their medical. not sure whats happening.

Is anyone with same situation.

I'm in the same boat....I'm august 8th applicant and still nothing.I cant even order GCMS as I dont reside in Canada.Completely in dark with whats happening

Feeling worried and helpless.

Praying and hoping for good news...hopefully soon.

Navs, I wanted to add that I am a fertile woman and I was never asked for anything like a pap smear. That is strange and not standard. Maybe you should go to a different doctor if at all possible?

Dear all ,

Those who have applied for GCMS.I reside outside Canada and I have asked my friend to apply for my GCMS notes.

Couple of questions, if you can clarify pls

1- what to fill when question ask " are you applying on your own behalf" --- Yes or No
2- Is it necessary for them to upload their identity documents if their address is in canada?

I have send consent form , do i need anything else?

Please advise if you have experience.
