How long ago were your medicals received at CiC?

Hi InfoSeeker12, the doctor's office said they submitted eMedical on June 3rd, and I don't know when exactly CIC received, I am guessing in 3-5 days...?

Meds done and sent: April 25, 2013
Meds Received status: actual date unknown, didn't check until May 24 (and it was Meds Recd then)
Request for Passport: May 28, 2013
Passport Sent: May 29, 2013
Passport received with COPR: June 26, 2012

A couple of things I wanted to add so that there's no confusion about what's causing the possible delay:

I used the photos that I printed off of a Kodak kiosk in Shopper's Drug-mart. (69 cents for a 5x6 that can accommodate 8 PR spec photos). I cut them with a box cutter and a 6 inch flat ruler; wrote the dates in the back of the photos with regular black ball point pen.

I did not add a covering letter. Just the passport, the biodata form and the photos wrapped in a post it paper.

Yes, I mentioned the application number on the envelope.

As steeped in bureaucracy as they are they're not going to go crazy if there's no cover letter that describes in detail the 3 simple contents enclosed in an envelope. Cover letter or not, the first thing they do is enter the application number in the computer and find out the status in their system. That is really what matters.

So if you haven't gotten your passport back even after 6 weeks, it's just sitting on a slow/lazy officer's basket. It will come around soon.

Just checked my Ecas. Changed to in process

Hey Mahek...See, there was no need to worry They should be changing it again to Decision Made pretty soon (3-4 days) or perhaps you might receive the PPR even before that. ECAS changes have always been reported to be slow.

Lets say on 5th June the CIC acknowledged your medicals. Pls keep us informed when they email you for PPR. You are added on this tracker too..

Does anyone know how long it takes to get RCMP check if you are outside canada?
And why CIC would request RCMP for a person who never stayed in Canada in the first place?

Question: I've seen in this forum a lot of applicants received their medical Requests for July, August and October applicants. I'm worried now - No News at all.

Can someone please help?

I received AOR on August 31st, 2012 and I'm still waiting for MR. I know from this forum there are at least few people with the same case. I did apply for GCMS notes in the beginning of June so hopefully will get some feedback soon.

Ked, You are not alone. There are more aug applicants waiting for their MR. I don't know what makes our cases get processed further and when.
