Congrats too all with approvals, and those without....I'm sure it's right around your corners.

Quick question about the interviews....

Is it okay to join your spouse for the interview?
Is it dependent upon visa office whether they let both into the interview?

Thanks for the input!

absolutely you may attend the interview with your spouse.....the applicant will be interviewed without the sponsor and if the IO wishes so he/she will interview the sponsor as well.......and if the sponsor is interviewed it is usually with the applicant..... :)

Hi Luckyman

Spouses are not normally allowed to join the interview only on a very rare occassion as far as I am aware unless somebody in this forum have experienced being in the same interview room as their spouse.

I've read a few things around these forums talking about this, it's mostly mixed answers because it does depend on the visa office. I've read that it might not be a good idea to bring your spouse because they could use it against you if they choose to interview you separately and one of you gives even the slightest off answer from what the other gives. But at the same time, if they know your spouse is near the interview location with you, they may wonder why they did not attend.

It seems to be widely debated, but in the end it comes down to your situation, the visa office, and the officer doing the interview. In my opinion if your relationship is definitely genuine then I think it's better to bring along your spouse for both support and to help the interview. Chances are you will be fine, sure there are a few horror stories out there but those are not the norm.

Agreed! It should be seen as a good thing.

This forum really needs "like" buttons.

Thanks for all the replies....the thing is my wife is shy, gets nervous easily, and i would hate her to feel responsible if anything should go south....I mean, she's my wife, and we're in this together. And seeing it would be the single most important "interview" of our lives, I see no reason why they shouldn't encourage attendance for both....I mean seeing the two together and asking both sides should be considered in such an important decision.

At the very least, if they request an interview for us, ii'm going for support for my wife. If they let me in, that's great, if not, I'll be in the waiting room.

Thanks again!!

Anyone else notice the time frames page hasn't updated today? I checked a few times and it hasn't changed. =\

I just got home and I thought they would have updated by now. I'm wondering if they will leave it that way until next week to avoid complains.

That wouldn't work, it says that it updates weekly haha

I'd rather them work on applications than bother updating that page anyway I suppose.

Nope, nothing in that area as of yet. Try a different browser, it works just fine for me in Firefox but hardly at all in Internet Explorer.
