Sweden, I'm not sure it's that straightforward, regarding health care. For example in BC, a spouse who is applying for permanent residency and in Canada as a visitor may qualify for health coverage:Sweden said:Sorry to bear bad news, but no, you can't. if you apply inland, at the end of the first stage,(currently 11 months) you can ask for a work permit.
If you are filing outland, you will get the sponsorship approval in about 3 months ( according to the website) and then it goes to your VO. Once your PR is issued, you can land and then you have a work permit. Same for the health care - there is a 3 months period after landing before you are covered, depending on the provinces, but it applies to most of them.
You might have to consider other options to keep your work permit - probably ask your employer for a LMO (labour market opinion) so he can ask for a work permit for you. It takes a while, so it would be best to start now.
