I can only access ecas using my husbands (sponsors) details and against my name it only states application received. It is a little early and I know this, but you are right it does feel like a lot of people's ecas state that medicals were received. However, since this is a game of patience, I guess I just have to restrain myself...although what happens if they can't find them?...do I have to wait until after 8 months to contact them? hmmmm to many questions go around my head...
Yes, I know! It's hard to be patient! I don't want to wait until they're ready to issue the visa for them to then contact me telling me my husband needs a new medical! What a waste of time! That could add well over a month of waiting time depending if they take their sweet time looking the medical over again....
My plan is, after I receive notice that the application is actually in Santo Domingo (my husband's visa office), I will wait 2-3 weeks and see if "medical received" comes up on ecas. If it doesn't appear, then I'm going to email them. Worse case, they don't email me back... I figure it can't really hurt... and if the med is missing, then hopefully they'll tell me now what he should do (wait, it's coming from the medical processing centre in Ottawa, or go do another one.) But, hopefully it doesn't come to that and "medical received" appears on ecas soon!
