A nice day to get an AOR as well. I am sure plenty of drinks will be flowing. This 2nd stage is just as bad with the waiting and impatience. Enjoy the first 30-45 days because then you get really anxious, after 60 days it is like hell, god knows what I will be like in another 30 days lol. :D

Yup! I was starting to get scared because I got the AOR last week Friday, so I was like, uh oh, maybe there's a problem.

At least in Bucharest I feel somewhat more attached to the embassy. I have an email that I hope they will look at, and my spouse can always go to the physical building itself. lol. Thanks for the heads up!!

Keep on going :) At least you're gone through that many days! What is the average processing time in London?

Average processing says up to 8 months on CIC website. Going from our spreadsheet that covers 2010,2011,2012 it appears it is/ was much quicker than that, around 90 days for stage 2 after sponsor is approved with a total time from application mailed- application finalised about 150 days. However since August the VO has gone so slow, I have a month's worth of applications ahead of me and they seem to have not been touched for 2 or 3 weeks lol.

How long is your VO? Those VO times posted on CIC website are grossly exaggerated so even if yours is a longer VO your application will be processed quicker than that :D

congrats to you.....what a great start to the weekend!!! ;D

I'm happy for you CharlizeRai! That means I only have to wait 8 days ;) . LOL, I know that's not how it works.

Hello again everybody,

As most of you already know my boyfriend (sponsor) and me recieved a mail from the CIC with sponsorship approval.
Well...as planned I will be going to Montreal visiting my boyfriend for 2 months. Now I was wondering. Since they opened our file....is there anything I can expect at the airport in Montreal? Like...sending me to immigration for questioning?

We do count on that eventually I will move there permanently, so I have a huge suitcase with lots of things already in it. I've packed my clothes, (and lots of stuffed animals) in vacuumbags. Can I expect any questions about that?

I did get a document from the cityhall here, that proofs that I'm still listed here in Apeldoorn, the Netherlands, so I can proof that I'm only visiting and not planning to stay permanently this time.

I don't have the best answer but I would just pack light :-)
I'll be visiting my hubby for a few days, we haven't been approved yet but I'm just taking small bag

The reason that I'm taking a lot with me, is that after this time I wont be able to go to Montreal anymore before I go permanemtly. There a lot of things which I will sell, but some things I definitely don't want to sell because they have emotional value. I don't know how else I'm going to get all those things there. So that's why I packed lots of my clothes in vacuumbags so there was lots of space for other things to take with me too.

Do you think this might be a problem then?

Congrats.....hopefully this means all July apps listed without approval have been inactive, and do have approval, and that CIC is actually working on August apps......

Fingers crossed....and toes...and hair...and well, everything crossed...haha

Thanks everyone!! It is quite wonderful. I am sooo happy! It's a beautiful sunny day in Alberta, and I am one step closer to seeing my spouse!!! :)

And yes, I hope your approval comes 8 days later ;)
