We are just trying almost 3,5 hours to touch with call centre agent,but we couldnot, has anyone now there is any combination for the call centre to make it fast or going through on the line. any information will helpfull.

You could try to contact 1-613-944-4000, when you hear welcome to foreign affairs and trade Canada press 1 for English and then press 2 for CIC and then 1 again and then press 2 if you are calling for sponsorship. Just follow the prompts for your current situation, hope that helps.

Well we just spoke to an agent and they said that the file was opened on Monday and that they are still working on verifying my information. They told us to call back on December 7, =S Has anyone else experiencing this, and is this a positive sign? Both my husband and I are getting very tired and frustrated.

Hopefully there will be an email or letter soon!!

Hi, "Your file is opened and they are working on it" is probably the only information that agent has access to. They will always tell you to call in 2 or 4 weeks. But it is probably just a few days away from decision. I called yesterday morning, (78 days) and they said call back end of November. Then 2 hours later got approval by email. I hope you will have similar situation.

Thanks!! Ya we just checked the processing times as well. This really sucks. This is driving us insane really, as well as everyone else waiting for their approval I am sure. I am just curious..if the file was opened on Monday and we were informed by an agent that it only takes a day to check and review an application for sponsorship then what is the hold up on the file? My record and all is clean to sponsor my husband.

Now they are working on applications August 31st, does this mean our file is completed then and they are just not giving us an answer..we are soo desperate to hear something

What's really strange is that they had updated the Quarterly VO Processing Time a couple of days ago and it said "Updated October 26, 2011" and if you look at it now, it's back to "July 26, 2011"

I called the call center this morning. They started processing our application on Nov 3rd but that is all he could tell me. Crossing fingers we get approvals soon!

Thanks, we got our Client Id number yesterday and they started asking us security questions..that never happened until just a few days ago. So now we are sitting here with our client Id number and cannot access our information either on ECAS. We are constantly hearing the same thing over and over every time we call. I want to call there and scream at them..lol as I am sure we all have been there. Is there any "trick questions" or ways to find anything out?
