april 2022 visitor VISA applicants

Hello Friends,
I applied super visa for my parents around mid April and still I haven’t received passport request. I used new IRCC Portal for this application and status is processing.

But many of the people I know who applied super visa after me, have received passport requests within a month or two.
is anyone else in same situation?

Everyone's application is processed differently. Once submitted, we just have to wait for final decision. You can try raising a webform. Good Luck

Applied for my parents on April 10 on the new IRCC portal, biometrics completed on April 18 and has been updated on their account. Background says:

• We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information.

Would it help if I reapply on the GCKey application? I have heard people usually submit the first application on GCKey and reapply through the new portal. Also, it seems like people who applied in April 2022 are slowly starting to see some movement on their applications...or am I mistaken? Would really appreciate some help and advice.

I have tried on safari, internet explorer, chrome from phone and desktop.
I have also tried after clearing my cache on both devices.
I am able to download my dad’s document but I am not able to download my mom’s document.

sent an equiry on webform to high commisioner. or login to your account and in messages you can see the document link.

Hey how do you know when background check starts? My application (Applied in India on April 6th) has been showing "We are processing your background check, We will let you know if we need more information" since April 7th (the next day !!!!!!)

I guess it is a default message.
Our application has also been submitted on April 6 with no update after on.

What type of application is it? And no new update (Ghost or otherwise) after the default update the next day?

Do you know if April people have started to get visas though. Surprisingly timelines say 160 days which means they are processing what like Mid-February applications?

June / July applicants are hearing back.
Seems like April files have started to move.
Mine is Super Visa.

Finally an update on my Spouse Visitor's Visa applied in India.
Applied on: 6th April
BioMetrics : 12th April
Passport Requested: 18th July
