april 2022 visitor VISA applicants

my appliction is still stuck in background verification process since may 25, 2003. I am just praying it should not transfer into inifnite waiting.

Wanted to update, application was for parents. Applied for visitors visa in April 2022. Was stuck in background check since August. They both have had Canadian visas, and has had and still has valid US visas. Should have been processed under CAN+. However it was not it seemingly due to time elapsed. Spoke with MP office, sent multiple webforms to ask for more info...all standard replies. Cant find any reason why the wait was for more than 1.5 years for a simple visit visa.. was constantly on the verge of retracting the application and apply anew...today shows as approved. Not sure yet how long the visa is valid for, single or multiple as of yet. The whole grueling process has made me emotionless and still grateful that it finally happened.

Anyone who got response applied in October from Pakistan ?

Applied 25 September 2023 IRCC new portal
Biometrics done on 13 October
Eligibility review started October 26

after that until now there is no update
Processing time from Pakistan is 57 days and today it’s been 54 days but no update

Hi, as I mentioned earlier that my brother got approval within 3 weeks, I don’t know why you haven’t received approval so far. Good luck.

i applied on april 25, 2023.

yesterday i received a ghost update. Under message message Application/profile updated but it disappeared. I check forum for similar situation. Applicants are saying that a decision may display on the portal within next 24 hours, Lets hope for the best, i have been into background verification for almost a year now.
