Oh that was very smart because mentioning the relationship will decrease the chances of getting the visa. We should have done the same thing.

Yes, if you live in Canada. You contact your MP based on your Canadian residential address.
Just out of curiosity, what power does the MP have to expedite our applications? Some people who I've seen approach their MP were given the same information which IRCC has on the profile. Just want to know what is the MP doing differently?
I mailed alberta province MP, he read the mail & let's wait for the reply
No power to expedite but can raise questions on your file and act on your behalf.
I applied for my Dad’s Visa on June 12. He already had his Biometric done 2 yrs ago when i applied for his visa just before COVID hit & all applicants were asked to apply again. My Mom already have a super visa so they will be traveling together.
They both have a visited Australia as well recently.

Nothing special, they get quicker response for gcms notes, pre pandemic it was within 24hrs.
