April 2020 - Citizenship Applicants

Just received an email from CIC Vancouver (don't know why, I live in Ontario) for Fingerprints. Do I need to visit the local police station to complete the request? Or anyone knows an agency in Mississauga that I need to visit for FP?

And the Judge mentioned its special month who ever getting citizenship "Black History month celebrates 25 years during the month of February

  • Total 38 New Canadians representing 15 different countries Took Oath Today from Montreal Office

Hi Guys, I need your help please. I received a short notice ... Do you know any translation company that can do urgent translation to English, within 24 hours, of the stamps on passeport? I found online QLPD Canada Translation Services, but they take 2-3 days to get the translation ready, and I need it for this Thursday.

I'm well known to the government because of my job and so they've had my fingerprints and background for years via Transport Canada. I'm in Calgary so I'm really confused why I'd be getting these charges (at all) from Ottawa. Any advice?

This seems like a Canada Post charge: https://www.tdcanadatrust.com/easyweb5/messages/business/tip_message11.jsp you can always call you bank to inquire.

Hi All,

Probably a repeated question but i just joined the Canada visa community so i would like to ask again. Has anyone's status of application said they started processing it on a certain Date? How long does it took to receive further communication after this status has been updated on the application?

I have this under my application status

1. We received your application for Canadian Citizenship(grant of citizenship) on April 27, 2020
2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on Oct 27, 2020
3. We started processing your application on December 1, 2020.
