Hello, I need some guidance or suggestion. Our file recently moved to London and our ECAS has changed to 'In Process' with the line added 'we started processing the application on 13th Oct'. I have 2 parts to my questions
- Since our application is being processed by a rep, we do could not link the GCKey (is there a way we could link it even if we have a rep) and hence don't know if the medical request has been received via GCKey. Do the reps also get a notification via email, or is GCKey the only answer.
- Should I call the automated CIC number to get an update, as I have read that this is the same as GCKey. If so, could some kindly let me know the number too.
Hoping for your answers and advice. Thank you

Generally, there is an email and ensure your rep is checking your account on a daily basis. If not, get the username, password, and security questions for the account from the rep.

Yes, please. Call cic on a daily basis as it reads the exact status in your gc key account in case you do not have access to it and also, check your ecas @ https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/authenticate.do?app=

From our GCMS notes:
Eligibility : Recommended Pass
Security: Not started
Criminality: Passed
Due Date is May 30, 2018 for me.

Not sure why the due date is that far away. Any advise?

April 21st Applicant, AOR2 : June 19th

Due date is generally 12 months from receiving your application / started processing your application. It does not mean they will take until that date. People have received PR much before that date. It is a reference info.

you are almost there everything is done for you...Due date should be the next round of review by an officer but most often you would not reach due date and get DM PPR before that

Your BGC started?

Thank you for your reply. Yes, indeed I check ECAS daily (both sponsor and PA). I will be calling them to check the update.

Due date is just an internal deadline for the officer to conclude your file within the 12 months of SA. They usually conclude files way before the deadline, unless the application needs special attention.

Congratulations, great news!!! They do need two new photos to use on the visa issuance and the CoPR, that is the usual request with the PPR.

I got it today too! DM on October 11. Wasn't expecting it for another 2 weeks honestly. Now I need to take more pictures! I assume we write by hand their annex.. probably can only ship it out Monday. I would even drop it in Ottawa if they'd let me :)
