We got PPR yesterday finally after waiting ~2 months for it! Filling out the form now and will mail it off to VFS Global as soon as we can!

Does anyone know how many months it usually take for my Permanent Resident Status to update? It still says 'Application Received'

I'm a PR residing in Calgary, AB.

I guess you're half way through. The actual waiting time starts once they start working on Principal Applicant's status. As per your current status, they have approved you as a sponsor. Now, they will ask for documents like Medical, PCC, Schedule A.
