Have you tried calling the CIC call center? 1-888-242-2100 Press 2>1>1>0 going through the menu to get to a representative. Sometimes they take a while to send out correspondence after actually approving the sponsor, so it's possible that you have been approved without receiving correspondence yet.

order a GSCM notes maybe?
I was almost 80 days till I was approved.. I got the notes after my SA.
it turned out BC social service didn't answer CIC's fax about if my parents and I were on welfare before.
I sponsored my parents back in 2009. 10 years undertake.

not till cic sent the second FAX; BC social service answered. and then my SA came 2 days after a negative search result.

meanwhile I called cic at least 4 times plus MP inquiry. none of them told me the reason of holding up.

i called twice end of june. first time when i spoke they said we have sent a reminder email to ur case processing officer and no other information was provided, and second time they said a email is sent when i called first time so nothing can be done and just have to wait. they mentioned not to call for next 3 months since email was sent.

The "you have to wait 3 months" thing is either a lie or misinformation. I was told the same thing and didn't have any issues calling a couple weeks later. Things can change in 2 weeks, so I would recommend calling again.

Edit: I edited out my own news, because within the last day I have received three negative ratings and I suspect that's why. I'm sorry if my own news is so offensive. I'll shut up about it from now on.

But ... what's the news? Keep us posted. Negative ratings or not, good to hear about the post landing experience to prepare the rest of us :)

Alright :). I had applied for a job in a grocery store as a regular employee in a department, and was asked if I was interested in becoming the department manager. The person hiring me sounded like she wanted me to start as that right away, but I haven't worked in that position for over a year (I have experience at a different store back in the US), so I said I'd need some time to refresh my memory on working there, but that I was interested. Luckily for me and trying to find a job, there are a lot of people leaving for other jobs from that store, so they really need the help.

Last year there weren't very many job openings in this small town at this time of year, so I was surprised that I've seen help wanted signs/papers around the town this year. Summer is usually the worst time to get a job here. Retail jobs are usually a safe bet for being able to find a job in most of the places I've lived, even the towns with less jobs, so I figured that there would be something within a few months at least, but I wasn't expecting it to go this smoothly.

Edit: Wow, another negative rating within the past few hours. I don't usually care about them, but this is excessive.
