Decoy, don't worry about the minus ratings.
There are many of us who enjoy reading about personal experiences and are happy for you.
Besides, it looks like I and a few others have counter balanced those -'s with a few +'s
lol.. totally.. come on,
i am from the western part.. also in a redneck hood; we dont really care what people think or hurt their feeling. thats just how i roll.. haha.
wanna hear something funny, i have neighbours fly "confederate state battle flag" in the hood.. he is so friendly and hospitable ; but dont ever tell him what to do.. lol.. like he gave me deer meat for bbq; even though i am not even white.
if i see his licence plate with rebel flag; i would have bad feeling first.
another story, our hood has the ONLY Chinese food place and its open on Xmas day.
when everything else is closed; the Chinese place basically took over by us.. my ex was a Jew, this was probably our favour thing to do on Xmas day.. have Chinese food and.. the Chinese place always gave us a lot of leftover on Dec 25.. we walked home with giant bags of Chinese food one year.. that day cuz we both smoked a lot of 420; this Joe guy with a lot tattoos in my hood.. i know the fact he is either biker or pro Nazi kinda . he looked us so weird.. "where were you two on the Xmas day?"
i was like " guess what? my hooked nose girlfriend's people might indeed killed JESUS , we Chink for sure would eat it back then; just not waste it.. " I know this gonna offend a lot of people here .... haha
guess what, Joe gave me a high five.. "that's a good one!"
the moral of the stories above? look, i was born in the Old Country.. Eastern culture stresses a lot on the collective and discourage the individualism and self expression in my K12 ..
so people like myself come to North America, value a lot about liberty, freedom of speech and the white picket fence.. lol.
so, dont worry, be yourself.. we only live once.. “Put a bird on your shoulder. That's what the Buddhists do. Just imagine a little bird on your shoulder and every day you say, ‘Is this the day I'm going to die, little bird? Am I leading the life I want to lead? Am I the person that I want to be?' If we accept the fact that we can die at any time, we'd lead our lives differently. So every day you say, ‘Is this the day?'”
Hey, Can I get a hallelujah
Can I get an amen
I guess thats my church eh? haha
The East and the West arent much different.
