My ecas has finally updated to in process on the PA side. Anyone else have any luck with an updated ecas?

Wow, I was just told that they are still processing my application and that they have until AUGUST 18TH to process my application. What a load of bull.

He said he "sent the request" to Mississauga and they replied that they're still processing it.

CIC can't create more than 1 inquiry on a file within a 90 day period. So if you called on May 18, and they said they can't do much else until August 18th, that's probably what it is. MEaning, they sent an inquiry, need to wait for a response and can't do another one for at least 90 days. this seems to be a standard protocol. more than likely, you'll know something about your application way before that date.

First of all - this is rediculous! Could they mean that the whole application (not SA) will be finished by August? (which is also quite long in your case). Otherwise 5 month for SA is absolutely crazy.

in my opinion, they are not suggesting 5 months for SA. what they are saying is they put in an inquiry, and need to wait 90 days for an answer. as stated above, CIC can't create more than 1 inquiry per file within a 90 day period. so this would make sense why decoy was given August 18 as a follow up date (assuming he called and they created an inquiry on May 18th). More likely than not (like 99.9% sure), he will see approval well before that date. SA has been known to fluctuate between 30 and 90 days in general. there are many factors that lead to the wait times changing, and the latest wait time is actually considered QUICK by CIC standards.

This sounds much more reasonable! :)

Mine finally updated today, too. Said it just started processing on 5/17.

Lyse, the spreadsheet shows you had docs requested. What did CIC request?

They want a further medical report. I have some psychiatric diagnoses, so they want a bunch of information, if I'm a danger, need healthcare, blabla.
I'm worried though, because I intend to not work and stay at home.. I can't see how that should be a dealbreaker though, as long as I don't cost society money or pose a threat :/.
