Sponsorship Approval ;D
There's an acronym tab on the 2016 Outland spreadsheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1nQFdDeeLRGrdl_DzlAumwv6nyz-oprHo5rU1bGdDdqs/edit#gid=658388151

Thank you :D!!
I wonder how that'll go since my husband's from Quebec and they want all the sponsor documents personally...

I'm also bringing my cats, two to be exact. I was thinking perhaps it'd be best if they were checked in, 'cause then their carriers would be big enough and you could make room for a little toilet.. Only, I'm also really paranoid about whether they will take good care of the cats or not, and if there'll be a proper temperature or air in the luggage area. After reading comments here, I'm also seriously considering bringing my cats on board. My husband will be with me, so we should both be able to bring one each. I'm just worried that my cat will be loud as hell because he's siamese >.<. But rather annoy people than he dies.... I have a hard time seeing how there's room for a proper carrier under the seat though :|.
I think the rule for a lot of airlines is that if you bring a pet on board the carrier has to fit under the seat in front of you (I could be wrong). I don't know about having the cat's carrier on your lap, but I doubt that's allowed. If you want to bring them on the plane with you, then you might need to buy smaller travel carriers for your cats.

so March and February have been seeing some mentally quick application times. Once again, only in Ottawa, but still. Apps from December and Jan seem to be backlogged and there haven't been many decisions made so its a little odd.

Hopefully April keeps up the pattern though!

I think it's possible that the reason why Dec/Jan applicants are backlogged is because they were probably already assigned to case processors by the time the new hires got their hands on some applications. That's just a theory though. Now that November apps seem to be finishing I think Dec/Jan will come fairly soon. I wonder where April Ottawa applicants will fall now that a March applicant has received confirmation of their COPR. I'm really hoping for a speedy SA so my file can be transferred to Ottawa :P.

Plus, this month we will be able to see our applications in the new online system. It won't show anything for the sponsor's side, but that matters less than the PA's side anyways.

Edit: Someone changed the 2016 outland spreadsheet to sort by VO instead of date again. How do I change it back?

I edited it back. Annoying when it gets reformted as it changes all the graphs and sheets someone has made. theres normally a drop down option in the column at the top to switch it back :)

Yeah, I wonder how the new system will work. Hoping for either Sydney vo or a cheeky re-allocation to Ottawa VO. Really don't want London - seems to be taking quite a while!

from this point onwards just keep trying to mass evidence of relationship. any trips you do, document and keep stubs, continue communicating and take samples every week to show ongoing etc. that way if you are called for an interview, you are very well prepared.

Thank you very much, will do.

Thank you for switching it back.

I hope they do something about the LVO next really. Ottawa used to take just as long as LVO, which actually seems to have slowed down a bit since last fall. The LVO is also another office that processes a lot of applications from multiple countries. I also have a friend who is looking into sponsoring someone from the UK in the future, so maybe I'm a little biased :P. How fast has Sydney been lately? I remember it being one of the faster VOs.

Sydney used to take about 4-6 months depending on a solid case. London historically has been around the 9 month mark, most likely due to it processing a lot of applications.

As I've been in Australia for over a year I'm sure its more likely to get sent here. Oz has been looking slower recently than usual however, probably because compared to Ottawa Usein Bolt looks slow.

Yeah, I think it'll likely go there too. I just hope mine doesn't end up being sent to LA for any reason.

shouldn't with the amount of extra officers in Ottawa right now.

If the flight you're taking allows pets in cabin, by all means! Going as checked baggage won't necessary must harm the cats but why take the risk if there's another option, right? I'll be taking my dog, which must go to checked baggage. Different airline has different policy on weight and size (pet plus carrier in total), so you will need to check with your airline.

Mr AOR where are you? :(

Just FYI, we never received an AOR, first thing we heard was a Sponsorship Approval in the mail. So, you may skip the AOR :)

Yeah, it's just if I need an interview they'll send it to LA anyways. That and criminality are the main reasons for an American application to go to LA. I highly doubt I'll need an interview, but I do have a couple of minor red flags in my application, which makes me worried.

Yeah there seem to be a fair amount of examples where AOR just never happened.
