It's completely inaccurate. This is the exact same as it was before they changed it to condense the processing times into all offices in one time. Every time they change the way processing times appear everyone worries, when in fact absolutely nothing has changed.

Please, please, continue using spreadsheets and threads to gauge how long your application to take.

I am guessing CIC is being "forced to" put back old processing data (even if inaccurate) rather than use the new (ie. 17 months for all outland applications). Being an applicant myself, I didn't want to have my upfront medical done so badly when I saw 17 months as processing time although I did it anyway (just based on faith). Medical is expensive especially in some countries and it's really unfair to request applicants to include proof of upfront medical when the listed processing time is over 12 months.

For example, because I'm from the US I put that and it said my application would take 17 (or so, I can't remember) months, because that's the time it takes to process 80% of applications through Los Angeles, but most Americans are processed in Ottawa. It's becoming more common for people's applications to get sent to offices with less of a backlog now, so you can see how that would be even more confusing. I really wish they would put the original chart back up.

I heard one applicant from March through Ottawa got DM right after their file transfer. That person isn't sure if it's a mistake or not yet though (eCAS isn't always accurate... we know this. They haven't received a COPR yet or anything). We could be looking at extremely fast times through Ottawa being the norm for a while. It's too soon to tell.

I'm reading recent threads applicants' medical expiring mid June being asked to go for re-medical at HKVO, making new applicants not willing to do medical upfront. People not following the instructions as told eventually viciously affect the whole processing cycle, lose-lose situation.

I agree, some applications like those end up dragging down application times. My hope is that they start working on bringing down application times for additional offices. The more backlog they can clear, the easier it will be to clear the backlog. It would be great to see the CIC become efficient.

I'm just hoping that I don't end up needing an interview in Los Angeles. I'll be looking at a much longer processing time if that happens. I have a couple minor red flags (my husband is 10 years older than me and we have a somewhat short relationship, at least counting from the date that we met in person, although we had been in a long distance relationship for a while before we met in person and we didn't get married quickly after meeting in person). We have plenty of proof, so I doubt I'll end up needing an interview, but it still worries me.

Agree. Spreadsheets and country/month specific threads are the best way to predict times.

Ive also amped up the spreadhseet for us a bit so we can see better who is getting approved, which vos are being represented and timelines. I have way too much time on my hands considering i should be studying!

Add your details to the spreadsheet yourself at the bottom and ill format it into the document later so it fits

Yay!! That's super exciting. I have anxiety, but I'm everyone here it's the same. My dates are very similar to yours plus1 day so hopefully will have some status update soon online. I got my AOR yesterday, but can't access my status online as yet. It probably takes a few days.

How did you guys get your AORs? Is it thru email or mail? And if you receive AOR, does it also include the UCI number where you can check it online?
