Only the applicants need Medicals. Not sure why the consulate is doing your translations we used certified translators. From my reading it is best to put n/a in any box that does not apply. Even if it will not accept it on the computer hand write it in afterwards.

As I'm an outland sponsor, do I have to do the medical exam too? I thought it was just the one being sponsored. I'm a Canadian citizen. I was also wondering how long it usually takes the consulate to do the translations. Do our tax assessments need to be translated too? I emailed the Canadian consulate in Italy, where I live twice now and they still haven't responded. I'm going to call them Monday. I really hope I'm doing the application right and am not missing something.
For example on form 5669E my husband wrote his past jobs under personal history. He's been working for the last 10 years. Does he need to add other activities like our summer vacations? or other short trips like for a business meeting?
For dependents we wrote NA on the first page and left the rest blank as we have no children or people we are responsible for. I did the same for Use of representative. Hopefully, we're doing it right. Would love some feedback. Have a great day!

Only medicals for the applicant.
Anything thats not in english or french needs to be translated and notorized.
Under personal history just make sure there are no gaps. This is onething Im trying to figure out too. Ive put travel, student, work, unemployed etc. Short trips can be lwft out but anything which took longer thsn a couple of weeks id add in.
Put NA anywhere that doesnt apply to show CIC that you didnt miss anything.
Did you use a representative? If yoj didnt dont even include the form.

Ive been given pwrmission to use the template for a spreadsheet for this group! Will post a message later on with the link and then we can start recording details of our progress.

Hi April applicants.

I've adapted the spreadsheet that Officer made, so we can follow the progress of applicants from this month.

Here is the link: http://tinyurl.com/hrgexb8 and its also in my signature.

Input your own details. Only put details in the fields marked with an asterix. The other fields have formulas in them which will calculate the rest of the time. There's an example at the time which I've included so all the fields show up, including average time calculations. I'll remove it after enough people are on the spreadsheet.

I'll be inputting my name on it later when I hopefully submit mine in a couple weeks. Just waiting on police certificates!

Good luck all. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions.

Cool, I'll add my info once my application gets to Mississauga. I'll be purchasing One-Day service through Canada Post, so it should be soon. Hopefully I'll get SA or at least AOR before I have to renew my visitor status in 4-6 weeks.

Good luck everyone!
I have a question about form 5841. For the number of people involved in current undertakings there is me the sponsor and my husband whom I'm sponsoring. So the total should be 2 right. I found this part confusing. We have no dependents.

Another question I have is, do I mail my application to The office in Rome as well or can I just mail it directly to Canada? The application is very long and doing 2 of them would be strange.

Another question; I'm guessing that the tax assessments do not have to be translated. I'm translating my husband's police checks, birth certificate, and our marriage certificate and that's it. Let me know if I'm right. I really don't want to make a mistake.
I Really hope it doesn't take too long for the translations.

Congrats to everyone who already sent in their application. I wish you luck.

If its just you and your husband you must write 2 in the total box. Thsts it. Put 0 for all the others.

Maill everything to missisauga if youre going outland which i suspect you are. Theyll forward everything themselves to your VO once you get SA.

Im not sure if the translations need to be done by a notorized or official translator so id check into that if i were you. I think anything not in english or french will be discarded so they may throw the tax assessments out if theyre not translated.

If your husband is the applocant however you dont need to include tax details for him.

Good luck!

Is there any way to find out what all the acronyms stand for? "AOR", etc. I feel pretty n00bish for not understanding any of it.
I'm 99% done making my application, I'm only wondering what paper I need for the medical examination, if it's just a proof of completion or some entire completed report (which I have not received).
I'm so scared I'll miss any important details >_<. I feel I'm almost blind now looking at all the documents. I really hope I can get to send it soon.
Sigh.

I am filling out the sponsor questionnaire and they're asking me if I've lived in other countries and I have. The problem is that it was so long ago and I don't remember the address nor do I have any proof or way of finding out. 2008, I lived in Engliand, before that, a few years in Japan. Do you think saying that I don't remember and writing the general area will be ok? Actually, I know that my old address in Japan was torn down. I just don't remember the exact address.

Thanks for replying to my previous questions!

When you complete the medical you will get a "receipt of sorts" from the dr that you send in with your application. The dr electronically sends in the results.
I also had areas in Europe in the 70's that Did not exist anymore and just wrote that. If you can not find the information just let them know.

I just sent off my application today :o. I'm so nervous that I missed something stupid and it will be returned.

Do you think they'll want my husband (the sponsor) to send in his 2015 Notice of Assessment when he gets it? I wouldn't want anything to delay SA, especially since it's going faster lately.

Hi Guys,

I have just got PPR and when I move to Canada am going to sponsor my wife for PR.

Once I submit her application and its being processed can she apply for work permit.

She will be going with me as she is visa free.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Unlikely they will ask for his 2015 notice or they would be waiting for a lot!!
Doing these documents is without a doubt the most stressful experience, well maybe the waiting is? :)
