Well, finding time to complete the application took longer than expected. I will be mailing out my application tomorrow with a 2-Day service via Canada Post. Looks like I'll be an early April applicant ;D.

Hello

A few questions please... :)

I am too sponsoring my wife.

Do we need a job before sponsoring?
Are all the documents sent together?... because in that case i will have to ask my wife to send over the documents to me in canada first and then i need to send them to cic.

How many photos shall i print for marriage? can we give a CD or not?

You don't need a job (as long as you have no dependents) but you CAN NOT be on welfare.
Yes, send all documents together, and don't send a CD.
We sent over 500 pictures, and 300 pages total proof of bon afide relationship! you can never send too many!

wow. that's a lot of pictures. I don't think we even have that many pictures! Must have been a heavy application!

Yeah, I may need to disagree here. I think you can send too much. Its more about quality then quantity. Remember, the officer needs to scan in everything you send, too much may lead to delays lol.

really? 1 week from when you submitted your application or 1 week after you received AOR? if it's one week after submitting you app, you must have some super luck or CIC must have been on fire when you went throu, because that is unheard of considering the average is just under 60 days. Even when I went through in 2014, the best time was 30ish days for SA. If it was 1 week between AOR and SA, that makes more sense. When did you go through?
Its 1 week from when i submited the applicstion. Thsnks god and hope my vo is that fast

I just finished putting together the application and evidence. I'm going to look at it tomorrow with fresh eyes and send it off. I'm so paranoid that I'll forget something or make a silly mistake and end up having it returned.

Whats the proper way to fill it out?

I'm a little concerned about the personal history bit. Ive got no gaps, but does CIC consider it a gap if i finish one event in december and the next event stats in january? or should it end in jan and then start in jan?

Lest wait another to give some light about it, but what i know for sure is that they are requesting that information from the date that the aplicant
was 18 years old

Sounds good. If i say i was working till 'june 2013' and the next event said travelling from 'august 2013' then i know thatd be a problem but what ive done is say "working till june 2013" and "travelling from july 2013".

Cos the months are next to eacb other is that ok or should the months overlap?

Congrats! I hope to get the translations and things done soon so I can give in my application soon. Good luck!

Hi guys, Hopefully I will be in Aprils group. Please can anyone tell me if it ok if I send my medical later when they ask for it for outland spounsor or is that only allowed for inland sponsoring? we dont have our medical for her done yet. any advice?

A medical is asked for upfront for Outland applications. My research has shown that it is possible to send it in but you run the risk of delays or your application being sent back as incomplete. You will have to decide whether the delay now is better than the other options.

As I'm an outland sponsor, do I have to do the medical exam too? I thought it was just the one being sponsored. I'm a Canadian citizen. I was also wondering how long it usually takes the consulate to do the translations. Do our tax assessments need to be translated too? I emailed the Canadian consulate in Italy, where I live twice now and they still haven't responded. I'm going to call them Monday. I really hope I'm doing the application right and am not missing something.
For example on form 5669E my husband wrote his past jobs under personal history. He's been working for the last 10 years. Does he need to add other activities like our summer vacations? or other short trips like for a business meeting?
For dependents we wrote NA on the first page and left the rest blank as we have no children or people we are responsible for. I did the same for Use of representative. Hopefully, we're doing it right. Would love some feedback. Have a great day!
