Talk to the guy. I am guessing he is doing a background check. People doing are not allowed to be known to the applicant. I've talked to couple of them (not with my PR nor CIC). They might be having some problems checking your work or whatever. This is my guess.EPP said:Hi Guys,

Calling for information is not a common practice for CIC. I think CIC prefers email or mail communications simply because they want to have a record of communications - and phone calls do not provide it.maxmoore said:Crap, this is a really though call. Update on my case: I have just spoken with CIC call centre and was told that the call I received last night was genuine.
It is on my file that an officer tried to reach me over the phone last night seeking for information.
