You have almost similar notes as I have. The only difference is I have a Job letter on file. I did not submitted my PCC at the time of application.
I sent them letter. But unfortunately the PCC delivered at CIC on the same date when Officer was reviewing my case.

The only issue I can see in your case is they wants job duties letter from your Employer. If you can get it send it to them they will process your case.

Good Luck...!!!

Hi VS1987,

My Employer does not provide reference letter. I have mentioned that in a document and provided all the supporting documents. I also provided a letter from my employer that was generated during my work permit extension that has the duties mentioned in detail. All my other colleagues have provided the same and most of their PR is approved. I guess I have to wait till a VO picks up my file and takes the decision. This is defintely very stressful. Hope to get positive news soon.

Even I have seen from my fiends who have got PR without employment letter. However, they submitted the proof of email from employer along with the supporting documents as you mentioned.
As per my understand VO do their assessments according to check list document. First they check you have an employment letter, if no based on your employer email proof then go for further for supporting documents assessment and it would be easy for them to take decision right away.If they struck anywhere and don't find details what they look for as per check-list, they just simply put application for Further review.
But don't worry, as we have seen these cases before without employment letter, most of them got PR with supporting documents. Hope you will also hear good news soon.

Good luck..

yes the line says:

We started processing your application on January 14, 2015.

Do you think they will send a passport request anytime soon?

Can anyone answer my questions below?

1. I had 3 international trips after I submitted my CEC application. Do I need to notify CIC about all these updates? I am worried if they will have an issue because my passport stamps are not matching with my application's trip information.
Not needed as Your application is based on your prev details . you don't need to inform CIC once your Application details freeze .i.e. the day application received exceptions are addition of new family members , your martial status change, your address change

2. I am planning a trip this spring. When I am asked to send my passport, can I send copies of my passport (including all pages)?
Are you kidding? You are saying you will get stamp visa in XEROX copies of Passport ? and CIC will entertain you ? Answer is NO

See my response in blue
Good Luck

Hello,
For the 2nd question, I wasn't kidding..
The reason I asked is... I saw this kind of posting on the forum..Please see below..

Perhaps it's because my country of origin is the USA. Here is part of the email I got from CIC when they wanted my passport:

This refers to your application for permanent residence in Canada. We are now in a position to finalise your application.

Within the next 90 days please submit your passport(s) or a photocopy of all passport pages for you and your accompanying family members.

We also require two (2) recent photographs of yourself and each accompanying family member.

The issuance of your Confirmation of Permanent Resident document(s) is time sensitive so it is important for you to submit your passport(s) or passport photocopies as requested. You must submit these items by mail. We recommend that you submit a prepaid envelope for the return of your Confirmation of Permanent Resident document(s) and passport(s). Please refer to our mailing instructions for further information.

My country of origin is South Korea. People from countries like USA, Japan & South Korea don't require to apply for entry visa when they come to canada. I believe those people have an option to send copies of passport. I just wanted to double-check if what I heard was the correct information.

Can anyone confirm this?

also there is more information

Yup. If your country of citizenship participates in the visa waiver program (practically all industrial countries around the world) you will not need a visa in order to enter the country - hence you also don't need the visa stamped into your original passport right away. You fly to Canada as you would normally do as a tourist and then take it from there once you are on Canadian soil (meaning getting your landing things done at Immigration Canada at the airport). People from China or India for example even need a visa to go to Canada for vacation. Therefore they cannot enter the country just like that...which is why they need their PR visa stamped into their passport prior to leaving their home country. South Korea is in the visa waiver program, just like Germany. We don't need visas, hence it will be sufficient for us to send in photocopies. :)

That's correct.. as I have mentioned in the reply that they are specifically looking for Letter from Employer.
So if you know the system most of the time Jr. VO checks the details and he/she cannot give you Eligibility Pass because he/she send for Review to Sr.Officer who has more power to take decision. I think Jr. VOs are only check the primary documents are there then they send for Sr.VO with Recommend Passed. and SR.VO quick check this because they dont need to go in further deep into detail.

And that is why some people gets PPR and RPRF very quickly then others.

Quick question about GCMS notes. (Apologies if it has been asked/answered before)

I ordered mine in mid December, received it in Mid Jan. Paid 30 bucks.

If i want to check the status again in a couple of months, do i need to pay again? I think scanned through posts where it says you can get these notes for free somewhere.

Hi,

Based on my observation when I ordered them, for immigration purposes you need to pay $5. If I'm not mistaken it is called ATIP.

Thanks sir! I am just really worried now, lots are receiving MR. I am hoping that others who are also knowledgeable on this matter will get a chance to view my GCMS notes so i would get more feedback on what to do.
