Hi guys,
I emailed my VO about my adres s a month ago, but its still not updated online.Its been a month now since i contacted them. anybody got an idea? thanks
until now, the status online stil says we received your application .. . only that, my VO is 8 months procesing time and we got aproval of sponsorship on july the 9th. its still early to hear anything from them even to put someth online? thanks a bunch.

We got sponsorship approval July 23rd. July 24th I followed the directions online to change my mailing address all I got was an automatic reply saying I would hear from them shortly but, to this day I still havn't, we received RPRF request from CPP-O and PPR from LA VO, so when I mailed in my passport I sent in a copy of the e-mail requesting the mailing address change (I didn't know if they would mail it back to me if the address wasn't included in my application. and I had no idea if the address had been changed so I wanted them to have proof) and a letter asking them to please mail my passport back to me in Canada. I understand they have alot of e-mails and such but if they can give us automated responses to e-mails they receive why would it be so hard to have an automated response so that when the address is changed it just e-mails you and says that it was changed? just think it would help to ease us and lesson the work load they get from people calling e-mailing again etc... to find out if it had been done or not...

Hello!

I got a letter this morning requesting my passport bio page, a UK criminal check (cos I sent the wrong type of check the first time) and my mailing address. Now, one: I sent them TWO copies of my passport info page in my application package. Could they mean something else?! And TWO: they MAILED me the letter requesting this stuff...

I'm so confused. What passport bio page did you submit? Am I just missing something really obvious here?

You, my friend, have received a passport request! Get all that sent in, and the next you'll hear from CIC will be your COPR!

The only thing they have mailed to us was the sponsorship approval letter and that was to my sponsor, all other correspondence (with me the applicant) has been thru e-mail of course that all depends on the VO I'm sure... have you tried calling the call center? even tho we are in Canada and had a VOIP phone service and when we tried to call it said we couldn't call from outside Canada LOL thats about the only other thing I can think to do Good Luck!

So it looks like the Ottawa office is backing up with applications. People in March and April are still waiting for PPR. I hope they clear up and get through the mess soon.

well, i would have to call my VO because i cant call the centre outside canada and my husband is working, its very difficult to find an agent at the time hes working. thank you so much

apparently the ecas updates are not done at the VO level but somewhere in Canada. When I changed my address, the VO answered that they had received the change and updated their file but it wouldn't necessary show on ecas, and not to worry about it.
then a month later it suddenly changed.... so maybe the same will happen for you!
I would say - don't worry about it.

Still says in process tho... and I did change my mailing address months ago but E-cas is still showing the US address, so is it safe to assume this is the end address change that happens once the visa is issued? maybe my passport is on it's way back to me?

So you sent in you copies of passport on oct 9th.... I sent my in on Oct 19th.....

So maaaaaaybe we will see something change on Nov 11??? Wishful thinking I know!

hope so for you!! I also changed my address to Canada when I "moved" here without COPR, and so I got excited when it changed, but it was apparently only to reflect the fact that I had asked them to change my address, as my status is stil "application received" and nothing else.
but since you were already in process, and your passport is already with them, it's bound to be good news!

My ecas still remained 'in process' even after my address updated & visa was issued. It only changed to 'decision made' after I'd received my visa. So...congrats!

it seems that this waiting game is a never-ending-story!! first you wait to get all the papers together (medicals, PCC etc) to file your application - then stage 1 - then stage 2 - then PR card - then citizenship maybe! oh my.... it seems that ecas will become my best friend for the next 10 years....

Congrats on your address change!!

I mailed my actual passport to LA-VO, it took 12 days (excluding weekends) from the day they received my passport. keeping my fingers crossed you hear something soon!
