Just so I'm clear, was Apr 16 when you sent the app or when it was received by CIC?

I'm beside myself....literally....my wife was sleeping....rolled over and whispered in her ear...she thought I meant AOR....I told her again....huge smile....

Thank you all so much for all your kindness and your tremendous support....I mean it....you've all been such a huge help...I can never repay you....

Sincerely,

FS
FS, Now is that something. Did it happen the way I thought. Hm, nice. So now you are onto stage 2. Its a great feeling, isn't it? Seems our two families walk together since i started the April thread. Congrats Sweden to your approval.
You all, you can pretty much shoot for your application received date plus 91 days to get approval. Good luck to all of you. One by one they turned blue for approval of sponsorship and soon all april applicants find themselves in a new waiting game in stage 2. Enjoy the good news of approval as long as you can. We need it for stage 2.

It took 3 days before ecas changed after my sponsorship approval. i used the UCI number provided, my last name, date and place of birth. It says sponsorship Application status: decision made, PR Application status: Application received ( incl. meds)
Next step is news from VO Hong Kong that they received application. Let me shoot for mid August to be not dissapointed. Usually should take just 2 weeks for that?

when you used uci for ecas ... on the lower box did you fill in the sponsor's details and place of birth or the applicants?

Thanks everyone! Yes, it is an amazing feeling! I can't wait for all of you to feel what it's like!

It should take about 10 days for the application to reach the VO in HK, at least that's what my wife has read on that QQ group.

Also, by getting approved, does that mean they believe my intent to return to Canada? Is it likely that the VO in HK will question me on this? We're definitely going back as soon as my wife gets the visa...all we need to do is sell our car, by the tickets, arrange for our dogs, send my golf clubs and a few other things (shipping it - B4A)...and some other minor stuff....

I'll try accessing e-cas next week...no big rush...I just hope the VO in HK sends us an AOR or updates e-cas when they receive our application...We're really confident things will go very quickly now...

Good luck to everyone and wishing you all a very speedy process!

FS Congrats. When did your application reached CPC-M?

FS, if they aren't satisfied with your intent to return it would be the VO that contacts you in step 2. However it is very unlikely. You gave waaaaay more proof than me and it was fine. Someone in January had to provide more proof because all they did was write a letter saying they would move back. No worries. You'll get the visa soon!

It was received on April 13th at 10:24 in the morning.

The approval was sent out from CIC-O at 11:24 on July 13th. Weird timing...but 13 is now one of my lucky numbers!

Thanks, canadiangirl! I was just reading over the answers we provided (applicant). I am so confident! We covered everything...loads of details. I hope they send the passport request very soon...it will be a great excuse to go to Hong Kong for a night or two...plus I want to hand deliver the passport to avoid any potential problems. I'm in 'zero risk' mode...anything that I consider to be risky, avoid at all costs!

The only thing that is a bit confusing is the leaving part...we have to sell our car, but we can't sell it too early because we need it (I drive to work). We're going to have to plan this out very carefully, though I am sure all the pieces will fall into place...

I'm still in shock...I keep checking my e-mail to make sure I'm not dreaming! We're going out for 'dimsum' to celebrate this morning...

Guys, when (not if!) you get the approval, the feeling is sooooo great!!!

FS

Yep you won't get much notice. It depends when your visa will expire but the end is kinda nuts! It's exciting though.

Congratulations Fencesitter! You made it!
And congrats to everyone else. Hopefully the other April applicants wont have to wait too much longer.

My ecas has been updated to "In Process" and "Medicals Received", but still no word. Surely this means I will be hearing soon though, right?

Looks like another long, nervous (and very hot) weekend here.
