Quick question: When does the file get transferred to the visa office? Does it go out on the date the approval was received?

So stage 2 starts from the date the file is transferred?

Is there the same worry (like with stage 1 and worrying about whether they received it or not) about the package arriving to the visa office?

I've heard that it goes through diplomatic mail. I'm not exactly sure how exactly diplomatic mail is sent, but as long as it's not with Air Canada than you need not worry

Is your case straightforward? Are there any reasons why there might be a delay?

I'd be doing whatever I could to get ahold of the call center agent to find out more information. As it is past the date, they should be able to tell you something....

In fact as I think our case is straight forward , No criminal records , No social assistance , no dependent children , the only thing I think it may affect the application that our official marriage was 4 months ago , but were engaged for 9 months , studied in same medical school for about six years ?(including a lot of photos ) .. that is all about our case.

You'll probably get approval this coming week. I wouldn't be worried as long as you qualify, which you do. I also thought it took a long time to get approval, and even though it was 91 days, I was worried from day 75!

Hi Newlywed!! Firstly, congratulations!!! YAY!! I see from the spreadsheet you're in Seoul. Me too. I was just wondering if you got your approval via mail or email? We didn't put an email on the forms (which in hindsight was not wise and we wanna change that but have no idea how) so we're thinkin it'll take longer for us as it's gotta come by mail and I dunno how fast things go from Canada to here! Thanks so much and I hope you're having an awesome weekend (despite all the rain!!)!

Welcome Girzim! Its nice to have another Seoul visa person. So far the few Seoul people I have found have had a nightmarish time with the office on account of proof of intent to live in Canada. Is the sponsoring person in your case living in Korea? Either way hopefully things will go well for us.

To answer your question I received my approval by email. I´m not sure how to update information with CIC, but probably someone else knows.
