Congrats Figgy!

And congrats to bbcanada also, it sounds like your visa is on its way.

Congratulation to everyone who has got a good news and good luck to those still waiting for the good news to arrive.

@Steph C, i hope it is a good news cos my wife's medical just expired before ecas changed to in process so i am waiting what they going to say.

Just got my CPR today. I'm a little worried cause it's a copy, and it says "Not valid for travel" as a watermark across the paper. Is this still good?

Just posted that question on the site, and someone confirmed it. So YAY! Got my CPR (no visa cause the US is exempt). I'll be landing in March!

Congradulations fellas ... at last your journey is coming to an end :D

Congrats everybody!

We still have no word till now... it is so frustrating! Do you think it would help if we ask assistance from the MP or any politician here in Toronto to make the process faster? I need my husband here so that I could start working. Someone needs to stay with baby.

Any good news from the Manila Visa office?

I'm sure your case will be fast and he will be approved before his medical expires. I guess the problem is the late sponsorship approval, I think there's another month to wait for PPR. Can you get help with the baby? How about getting your Mom to come over on a super visa to help take care of the baby for a few months?

Congrats on those who have received their visas!

We're off to Vancouver for the landing...can't wait and really hope my son (15 months) can handle the flight. We have bulkhead seats for all flights, so hopefully that makes it easier!

Soon another chapter of my life will come to an end...life in Asia....wow...but....Canada here I come...an exciting time to be sure...for all of us on this forum...as we all have something in common...

I'll post back with details of landing in Vancouver...

I contacted my MP when I found out my file was never transferred and they helped a lot. Yes, contact them if you are having no luck with getting info from CIC

Much as I want my mom to come over on a super visa... problem is it requires that I have to fit in a specific income bracket. I was able to sponsor my hubby because there is no salary requirement. I really need to work soon and be able to establish here in Toronto. Daycare is too expensive and I can't apply for government subsidy for it because of my sponsorship. Hope tough times would be over soon. Everything is in a halt because of the waiting. I was hoping it would not take this long... but it did. So frustrating.
