hello everyone! Pls does cic visa office have a right to keep someone's original birth certificate after interview? My spouse attended her interview and everything including all our supporting evidence were returned to her except her birth certificate and some school transcripts and pictures. Now her medical will expire in 3 weeks time no visa issue just being told after the interview that they will mail her. Now i am still waiting almost 2 weeks now but nothing is happening. Does that means perhaps she has been refused. Thanks in advance

COPR arrived today. Husband has to land by Jan 9/13. I have to leave the US by the end of January, so we'll be driving back to Canada a little prematurely... but so excited it's almost over!

URIFiggy, I have a question Did you by any chance list a second country in the list of countries recently lived in? Because I'm starting to get really worried with our delay, and I'm thinking that it has something to do with them having to check with Bulgaria where I lived for the last 3 years. And if that is true and I am waiting for something to come out of a Bulgarian administration office.... well, I can just quit waiting...

Is that the case with anyone else here - US citizen recently lived somewhere else and included it in the application?

No I didn't. Based on some of the other applicants on this forum, I've noticed that some it's taking about 250 days since the application was recieved by the CIC. That would put us in aroud Jan 8th, 2013. So we might not hear anything till then

Yeah congrats! I know the feeling - I landed end of November and I'm working this week - only one week temp job,but better than nothing! congrats on the new job, hope it will go well!

hi can some one please tell me what they think it is dm or just a ecas mistake
1 m ecas change to dm but no input was updated it just say dm when i click every thing is the same
2 i called the call center they said cic requested my passport from cbsa
3my back ground check is compleate but he is saying my case is not done its still in process

so do i start pulling out the party shoe are is it just a mistake please help dont want to get to excited for nothing

Hey,

it's difficult to know. Normally if it says Decision Made on ecas, they should have taken a decision... but I don't think anybody here will be able to tell you if it's positive or negative without knowing your file, how much proofs you submitted etc. Normally if you click on ecas on the DM, it says something like "a decision has been made on your application, the office will contact "NAME OF THE APPLICANT" regarding this decision". It never says on ecas whether it's positive of negative.
