I am very confused. I have been trying to call the call center and its been busy all the time this week. My application was delivered to Mississauga center on April 20. They just updated the website saying that they are looking at files received on April 30. I did not receive any acknowledgment from them to this day. Is this normal? Its definitely been more than 91 days since I submitted my application.

yes unfortunately it is but if you can try calling right at 8:00 am tomorrow because Thursday and Friday is the days of the least phone call.....or so they say on the website.....but try at 8:00am...you may have to redial 3 or 4 times but it is the best time to get them!!

Unfortunatly my friend this is normal, they received my appalication on the 20th also, and I only get my approval this morning ... I would give it till tomorrow .. and try calling them again, best time to call is right as they start 8 in the monring

Ok just looked at the spreadsheet and I am not so flustered anymore, seems there is a pretty good handful of us from the 10th to the 30th that have still not received anything, fingers crossed we all get something this week and make the end of July !!

Yeah you are definitely not alone in this. I'm still waiting from April 12th, fireluck is still waiting from April 11th, it's beyond ridiculous now.

Yeah you are definitely not alone in this. I'm still waiting from April 12th, fireluck is still waiting from April 11th, it's beyond ridiculous now.

This is why CIC needs to be more transparent with the 'client'. I feel like I'm blind trying to make my way through an empty city. No one can help. It's shameful!! They must finish all of April before the end of July!

I'm beginning to think they don't actually do any checks on the sponsor. I mean, how can they do a background check within a day? Surely they need to contact other government agencies to find out about criminality and whether you are bankrupt or not. For some reason I think they are BSing us...they are taking so long because of one thing, and one thing only...LAZINESS!!

This and there seems to be a need or a desire to make it appear as though processing time is much lower than it actually is. 86 days?? Currently working on applications received April 30th?? This sort of mis-information just sends a whole bunch of April applicants into an emotional tail-spin and I'm sure clogs the phone lines with panic calls. A little transparency would go a long, long way.
